If this Booster is based on the Omac Story line it makes sense that there is no Skeets.

Good point, Morgenstern. However, very few of the DC Universe Infinite Heroes figures have any accessories at all, so it's no surprise that Booster has no Skeets.

I have this figure (I like my Booster sans collar). It is a great toy. My four year old plays with him constantly, and it has held up very well. As we read BG comics, he and I pose the figure to match various comic panels. I actually bought the whole series 7 (b/c my son also wanted Blue Beetle (natch), Captain Cold, and Kid Flash... I went for the whole Atom Smasher collect and connect figure). The cover to Booster Gold #7 is a fun one to emulate.

Wow, what a great website! I had no idea that there were such hardcore Booster fans, but I'm glad to see it! Bravo to you! I was very pleased with how fun Booster was overall, and just wished he had received a little more love!

Thanks, Wes, for the thorough breakdown of the figure. I'm glad that someone like you, clearly interested in the figure as a toy and not just a physical manifestation of the most awesome hero ever, could provide a write up for me to link to. I've been too pleased that Booster figures even exist to be too upset at the horrible failure in representing his costume correctly in the DC Universe line. (For example, I've never taken mine out of his blister because I once heard that the Skeets' attachment sags over time and I just couldn't stand to take a chance on a saggy Skeets.)

I got lucky, my Skeets detaches. You can't imagine the fun my son and I have had flying Skeets around the house. I do wish the paint job had been better (wrong color hair, gloves should be blue on modern figure, tooo many bad spots and splotches). Sad news, Beetle's arm broke off a couple of days ago (I told you we were rough on our toys). Super glue should do the trick.

The Skeets is definitely detachable, at least on mine as well. It really is an accessory rather than a permanent part of the figure, but of course that leaves a rather large hole in poor Michael's back. Not so recommended. Heh. But I do understand the desire to preserve the figure. There were subtle inaccuracies, but overall it was definitely great to see Booster represented at all. He really is one of the richer characters to have been created in the last 25 years, and easily the most under appreciated, I'd argue. Though maybe not at this site! Heh heh.
