New Release: Trinity of Sin: Pandora #1

When the Justice League fights the Justice League and the Justice League, who will win? (Hint: it's the Justice League.)

The prelude to Trinity War officially kicks off today in Trinity of Sin: Pandora #1. Pandora is the mysterious character inexplicably seen (but never explained) in the final panels of Flashpoint. Are we finally going to learn what caused her to create the post-Flashpoint DCnU? Will her story make Flashpoint make any sense? Will this event justify the existence of three Justice League titles? And most importantly, what role will Booster Gold play in the Trinity War?

Booster Gold in Trinity of Sin: Pandora #1

Booster appears in the two-page spread teaser for the issue that DC released last month, so he will be in this issue, at least as a flashback to Justice League International, Volume 3, #1. Will this be the start of Booster's big return to the DCnU? Or will he be relegated to the same limbo as Captain Atom, Resurrection Man, and Voodoo?

The answers to these questions and more begin in Trinity of Sin: Pandora #1, on sale today!

[UPDATE 2013-07-03: False alarm. Although dccomics.com explicitly described "this incredible spread from the series' debut issue," the pages DO NOT appear in Trinity of Sin: Pandora #1.]

The Great Anniversary Festival

On July 2, 1776, the Second Continental Congress passed Virginian Richard Henry Lee's resolution for independence from Great Britain, and thus was born the United States of America.

The adoption of the declaration of that new-found independence two days later is what we now celebrate, but the real secret of America's independence is the role that Booster Gold played in ensuring it ever happened.

Would there have been a Declaration of Independence without Booster Gold?

What really happened in Independence Hall in the summer of 1776? The world may never know.

If He Ever Shows Up, He Can Wear What He Wants

Over on Deviant Art, Chinese artist Fuge has imagined an updated Ted Kord's costume for the New 52.

Blue and Gold for the New 52 by onlyfuge

I'm not nuts about the gold panels on Ted's costume, but if he has to wear something like that to run with the New 52 crowd, I can live with it. On the other hand, the "belt" on Booster's costume is an upgrade.

Check out more of Fuge's work at onlyfuge.deviantart.com.

Fight for the Future

Elvis or the Beatles? Coke or Pepsi? Batman or Superman? There can be only one!

Last week's poll question: Which Justice Leaguer would make the better mentor/role model for Booster Gold? (44 votes)

Which Justice Leaguer would make the better mentor/role model for Booster Gold?

Earlier this week, I was thinking that Booster Gold would be playing a trivial part at best in the upcoming "Trinity War" event. But events in this week's Justice League of America have me thinking twice. What's your opinion?
