Everywhere but Comic Books
Back in June I told you to expect Booster Gold as a chess piece and as a deck-building game card. There was one other game I hesitated to mention because I was waiting for proof of Booster's inclusion. Turns out I just wasn't looking hard enough.
In this youtube demo from E3 by kNIGHTWING01, Booster's Nu52 costume is clearly included in the game. That means your avatar will be able to cosplay as Booster in the upcoming Scribblenauts Unmasked video game from 5th Cell. Hooray!
The game will be available on Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and Windows PCs on the 24th of this month. For more details, visit www.Scribblenauts.com. (Thanks to Erin of Exploring the Time Lab for finding that video).

One Big Happy Family
So many votes! The potential return of Ted Kord must strike a nerve.
Last week's poll question: Now that Forever Evil teases Ted Kord in the DCnU, does this mean we will see Blue and Gold together again? (59 votes)
Seeing Booster Gold with the other cosplayers at DragonCon made me think about the few Justice League members that Booster has never worked with. I think all the Leaguers should get the chance to hang out with DC's premier hero, Booster Gold. Where should we start?

Nothing to See Here
I discovered yesterday that the Boosterrific.com email has been losing emails since at least early Saturday morning. If you have tried to contact me through email in the past few days, I may not have received it.

I think I've fixed the problem. Just in case I haven't, if you need to share some Boosterrific news, you can now also reach me by way of Boosterrific at Gmail.com. Some things are just too important to leave to chance.

Hanging Out with Some Old Friends
Yesterday, Ryan in the Boosterrific comments reminded me that I haven't posted any Booster Gold cosplay pics from DragonCon 2013 yet. Let's rectify that today.

Booster Golds of all shapes and sizes were at this year's event in costumes running in quality varying from professional to amateur. The costume on the left comes from dr_archeville (more on flickr.com). The costume on the right comes by way of _nerdyblackkid (more on Instagram).
This pic is just one of many in Pat Loika's "Dragon*Con 2013: JLA vs Avengers Shoot" on flickr.com. The staged photo-op featured JLA cosplayers battling Avengers cosplayers at the command of George Pérez. (Booster Gold faced off against Black Knight!) Only at DragonCon....
You can see many, many more pics of the event at the links above. If you want to see video of the JLA fighting the Avengers, check out youtube here or here. (Thanks to Brian Wilder for the links.)
[UPDATE 2013-09-10: Credit where credit is due: that's Pyynk as Booster Gold in the big group shot. You can get a better view of his costume in my coverage of DragonCon 2012 here.]

Playing with the Past
I'm not typically a podcast guy (I can't listen at work, and I have more than enough to listen to otherwise), but that doesn't mean that I don't recognize talent when I hear it. (Well, actually, people tell me I have a tin ear. But never mind that now.)
Shag of FirestormFan.com and Siskoid of Siskoid's Blog of Geekery have teamed-up to present a new podcast about role-playing games. Their first installment is about the Mayfair Games DC Heroes Role-Playing Game. Booster Gold fans should recognize that as the first game to feature Booster Gold as a playable character — in the mid 1980s!
DC Heroes Role-Playing Game featured stats for both Booster Gold and Skeets, as well as a Booster Gold-themed module, "All That Glitters," that included Goldstar and Jack Soo.
You can find previous Boosterrific Blog posts about Booster's role in the game here. Boosterrific.com also hosts a single-player Flash version of the board game from the "All That Glitters" DCHRPG module here.
So if you're the sort who likes to listen to people talk about long-discontinued role-playing games, give the Fire and Water podcast a try. You might be glad you did.
