Silver and Gold Podcast: Face Off
Have you been listening to the Silver and Gold Podcast? Their latest is episode 10, covering Booster Gold #5 (in which Booster is nearly killed by someone who stole his name from a Teen Titans villain). You can find links to the podcast at splittingatomsblog.wordpress.com.
(And don't forget that I'm still looking for someone to cosplay Booster Gold and others for the Boosterrific "Meet Booster Gold" video. If you or someone you know could help me spread the word about the many ways in which Booster Gold is the awesomest, please get in touch. More details here.)

First Draft
Okay. I've completed my first draft of the "Meet Booster Gold" script. It's more ambitious than I first thought, and I'll need help from some talented cosplayers to get it done right. (I can edit video and sound, but I'll need performers.)
Here's the introduction:
FADE IN
INT. NONDESCRIPT ROOM
BOOSTER GOLD directly addresses the camera in a confessional style. This could be a webcam or a cell phone selfie.
BOOSTER
Are you recording now?
SKEETS
(voice over)
Yes, sir. You may begin when ready.
BOOSTER
Hi, I'm Booster Gold. You may recognize me from my commercials for Soder Cola and Brysler Motors, but I'm not just another pretty face. I'm a bona fide super hero!
CUT TO EXT. STREET CORNER
This begins a series of "man on the street" style interviews as seen on the evenings news. Like Booster, interviewees look directly into camera. These can be shot in any environment.
INTERVIEWEE 1
Booster Gold? He saved my mom from the Royal Flush Gang.
CUT TO DIFFERENT INTERVIEWEE
INTERVIEWEE 2
Yeah, I know him. He was in the Justice League. Good guy.
CUT TO DIFFERENT INTERVIEWEE
INTERVIEWEE 3
He's no Green Lantern.
Of course I go on to cover Booster's mischievous past and time traveling present. I've posted the whole script in the Boosterrific Forum.
My readings have clocked the whole script in at about 2 minutes, but I'm reasonably satisfied that I've covered all the key elements of Booster Gold's character and adventures. Once you've read it, let me know what you think either here, the Forum, or via email at webmaster at Boosterrific.com.
(Especially get in touch if you're interested in being on camera for this. As you can see, I'll need several cosplayers and "actors." Personally, I've always been a behind the scenes person myself.)
Thanks for your support!

Ty One On
Booster booster Herbert Fung has always been very generous in sharing the Booster Gold commissions he collects from the annual Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo. In past years, he's collected sketches from Adam Hughes and David Finch. What did Herbert get this year?

It's a commission by Booster Gold Volume 1 inker Ty Templeton! Man, I love that high collar.
Thanks again, Herbert!

Booster Gold Will Get Your Kitty
Illustrator Dwayne Biddix put together this sample Business card for Booster Gold and uploaded it to DeviantArt.com:
Note that url: http://www.dccomics.com/characters/booster-gold. That leads to DC's official online description of Booster Gold.
As a time-traveler, Booster Gold understands how delicate our timeline is, and he often finds himself protecting the timestream. But in the ultimate irony for a fame-seeker, no one can ever know it's him. After all, if people find out what he's doing, it could change history and threaten the timestream. It's a responsibility that Booster Gold has come to take seriously, suggesting that there may be more driving this spotlight-loving hero than a simple quest for adoration. Even if he does spend as much time signing autographs as he does saving lives.
I don't think that's really accurate. To say that there "may" be more to Booster than his "quest for adoration" sells even the Nu52 incarnation of the character short. But maybe that's why I think it's such a good idea to make my own Booster Gold introduction video.

Since We're Talking About Booster Gold Videos
While I'm considering creating a "This Is Your Life" video for Booster Gold, it's interesting to take a look at some comparables. Youtube's Comic Drake is a big Booster Gold fan, and he's made some videos highlighting Booster's comic book career. In this one, he explains what he personally likes about Booster Gold.
I think that's great, but it's not quite what I have in mind. I'm thinking shorter (and less emphasis on Booster's "scumbag" qualities). In 60 seconds, can we tell a typical superhero movie watcher who has never opened a comic (and will never open a comic) why they need to meet Booster Gold? I think we can.
