Booster Gold Is No One's Pawn!
If you're paying attention, you may soon start seeing Eaglemoss' "white pawn" Booster Gold (and accompanying magazine) appearing in your Local Comic Shop.
Booster is figure 61 in the set. (Pieces 1 through 32 were a complete Batman-themed chess set.) He's been available for a few months internationally, but he'll be arriving in American stores any day now, if not already. (You can already find it for under $20 on eBay.com.)
This New 52 Booster should make a nice companion to the classic Booster Eaglemoss released a few years ago. How long do we have to wait for an Eaglemoss Skeets?

Booster Gold Is Not In There
I had wanted to start the week covering Booster Gold's activities in the latest digital chapter of Smallville: Continuity #2. Too bad Booster isn't in it.
That's right: despite appearing on the digital cover for both the first two chapters of Smallville: Continuity, our Golden Guardian hasn't so much as been mentioned on the virtual pages within. Talk about bait and switch!
Traditionally, printed editions of Smallville Season 11 have used the cover representing the three digital chapters collected therein. We can therefore assume that Cat Stagg's cover to Smallville: Continuity #1 through #3 will likely be the cover on Smallville Season 11: Continuity #1 when it is released in December.
That means that Booster Gold will have to be in chapter 3, right? I guess we'll find out when the issue becomes available on Comixology.com this Friday?

The Blot's Booster Gold Sketchbook Reborn
Earlier in the week, I showed you The Blot Says' "lost" Booster Gold commission from earlier this year. That was not, however, his latest. That would be this, posted to Twitter.com:
A rare Booster Gold sketch by living legend Rob Liefeld! Liefeld has never drawn Booster Gold in any comic book, and I've never seen a Liefeld-drawn Booster Gold before (despite what you might see on the Internet).
I'll just leave this here where you can stare at it all weekend. Enjoy.

Your Money Where His Mouth Is
I'm often under the impression that Booster's "me, me, me" behavior is why some people hate him, but it's clear that those of us who love him love that about him.
Last week's poll question: How do you view Booster Gold's shameless and incessant self-promotions? (49 votes)
Here at Boosterrific, we love to see commissions as much as we love to see cosplayers. What does that love cost us?

They Should Rename It Boosterville
I don't know what DC is doing with the numbering/titles of Smallville Season 11, but the "Chaos" mini-series is being followed by the "Continuity" mini-series, although none of these series are self-contained but parts of the larger, ongoing Smallville Season 11 story. (Think less Adventures of Superman, more Lois and Clark.)
Don't let the above cover fool you: Booster Gold does not appear in chapter one of Smallville: Continuity, available now on Comixology.com. However, I think it's a pretty safe bet that Booster (and Skeets!) will be in Smallville season 11: Continuity #1 when it hits your Local Comic Shop this December. Better plan ahead.
