Man of the Year
Over dinner last week, an old friend boldly called Boosterrific.com incomplete. He claimed he had found a book with a Booster Gold appearance that wasn't listed on the site. That book was Starman #1. ("Not the James Robinson one. The other one.")
He was right. Check it out:
Starman Volume 1, #1, words by Roger Stern, pictures by Tom Lyle, Bob Smith, Julianna Ferriter
Somehow, I had missed Booster Gold on the cover of Time magazine! Oversight corrected.
Thank you, Michael Foster, for making Boosterrific.com more complete than ever!

Back in Action
Justice League Action debuted on Cartoon Network on Friday in a four-part "Shazam Slam" special. Unexpectedly, Booster Gold got in on the action!
Booster played a small role in episode 3, "Night of the Bat," where he is used exclusively as comic relief. (There's even a quick "Gold's Gym" visual pun.) Diedrich Bader's portrayal of Booster sounds a little more Californian than Boosters past. It's very in keeping with Booster's public image as an idiot.
Although Booster doesn't have much to do in this episode, JLA writer Jonathan Callan called the character "a breakout star" on Twitter.com. Booster voice actor Diedrich Bader responded by saying how much he loves playing the character.
Hopefully, this love fest will translate into bigger roles for Booster in future episodes. We'll be watching.
(Special thanks to Bob in Friday's comments for catching Booster's appearance.)

Arch Villainy 101
Take that, Peter Platinum!
Last week's poll question: Who do you consider to be Booster Gold's arch-nemesis? (64 votes)
Attention novice comic book writers: if you want to create an arch enemy for your hero, have him kill off the hero's best friend. Presto. Instant arch-nemesis!
Honestly, I would have thought the Royal Flush Gang would have made a better showing. I suppose it is hard to be taken seriously when you always lose to a B-list hero.

Yabba Dabba Doo!
I did not see this one coming.
When I woke up on Monday and checked my phone, I had to be sure that it wasn't April first. According to Russ Burlingame of ComicBook.com (the first to bring this to my attention), Booster Gold will be making his long awaited return on March 29, 2017.
In the pages of The Flintstones!
BOOSTER GOLD/THE FLINTSTONES ANNUAL #1
Written by Mark Russell
Art by Rick Leonardi and Scott Hanna
Welcome to the 25th Century, where the Earth is a polluted, post-industrial nightmare, most animals are extinct and reptilian aliens are invading cities across the planet! In their time of need, the world's citizens turn to the time-traveling Booster Gold to save the day. To learn why these aliens are attacking Earth, Booster dives deep into the prehistoric past to see what happened when they first came to the planet. In this bygone era, Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble must help Booster learn the truth and return to his own time armed with the information that will bring down the invaders — if Booster can convince them to help him out.
As a huge fan of both Booster Gold and the work of Flinstones writer Mark Russell, I couldn't be more excited. March can't get here soon enough!

15 Things You Did Know About Booster Gold
Over the weekend, Edward Cambro informed the world "15 Things You Didn't Know About Booster Gold" over at ScreenRant.com.
I suspect that Booster boosters knew most of those 15 things, with one notable exception: His archenemy is not Peter Platinum.
I'm don't mean to be too hard on Cambro. He does admit that calling PP an archenemy is a bit of a stretch. While I can appreciate his candor and logic, I could never call someone who gets a one-shot appearance anyone's "archenemy."
One of the very first polls I ever ran was a question about who you fans thought was Booster's archenemy. Since Cambro has brought it back up, I'll ask again. We'll take a look at your votes on Friday.
This week's poll question: Who do you consider to be Booster Gold's arch-nemesis? Please visit the Boosterrific Polls page to view results for this week's poll.
