Only 1 Shopping Days Left until Christmas
While finding comics with Booster Gold in them is becoming increasingly difficult, finding Booster Gold costumes, inversely, is not. (I really cannot explain why.)
Zentaifan.com now offers "Film Version" Booster Gold costumes for both males and females (with optional crotch zippers!). It is probably too much to hope that Chinese zentai suit manufacturers have ever heard of Goldstar, so let's just be happy that there are multiple Booster Gold costumes for sale.

If Only They'd Told Us Sooner
As loyal reader deusex2 told us in yesterday's comments, Sony has rewarded DC Universe Online players with their own personal Skeets!
Sony Online Entertainment is calling this gunmetal gray "25th Century Communicator battle companion" Servo. The biggest difference from this little Skeets clone and the real thing is that Servo tells jokes. We all know the original -- and best! -- football-shaped battle buddy is a serious as a heart attack.
Don't make the mistake of following the lure of this siren's song pseudo-Skeets into playing DC Universe Online now, though. The battle companion was rewarded to active legendary account holders this past Tuesday. There was no advance announcement of this gift, and Servo units are not tradable between accounts. According to the official DC Universe Online Twitter account:
"You needed to have bought a membership earlier and been active - it is a thank you gift for current members."
Might as well call it a "see what you missed out on" gift for Skeets fans this Christmas.
UPDATE 12/22/2012: Mepps on Twitter reminds us that lapsed legendary account holders get a free 30 days to return to Metropolis where you'll be able to visit other people's battle bots.
Something's better than nothing, yes?

Another Year Nearly Gone
I suspect that the results of this poll pretty accurately represent the ratio of Boostlers to the larger Blue and Gold fan base.
Last week's poll question: What should Booster Gold fans be most thankful for from 2012? (45 votes)
No matter how you look at it, 2012 wasn't a very good year for Booster Gold fans. Besides the news that there might be a Booster Gold television show, there isn't anything else to crow over. So I put it to you, Booster boosters, what made you happy in 2012?

Thankfully, Meteortown2 recognized this hole in the market for Booster Gold themed glasses, and has created a whole range of potable holders at Cafe Press! Choose from a mug, stein, shot glass, flash, water bottle, or even teapots! Call now, operators are standing by.

December of DesperOMAC
Every year in December, Diabolu Frank of The Idol Head of Diablou spotlights fandom's favorite 3-eyed, fin-headed alien, Despero. This year, Booster Gold joins the salute thanks to the work of a couple of clever fans.
When the classic Kevin Maguire cover of 1987 Justice League #1 looks like this, it's a job for time cop Booster Gold!
This homage by Spanish artist Pablo Alcalde Fernandez can be found on his Deviant Art page, where he posts as PabloAlcaldeFdez. Pablo titled the piece "Before New 52: Booster Gold" and provides the following description:
Booster Gold arrives a parallel Earth, where he find the original Maxwell Lord and the only superhero of that world: Despero. There he find that his supposed hero buddies have become villains, the International Crime Syndicate. From top left to right: Mr. Answer (The Question), Power Girl, Silver Spider (Blue Beetle), Owlman (Batman), Manhunter (Martian Manhunter), Maxwell Lord, Booster Gold and Despero (in Omac suit).
Despero as a One Man Army Corps? Yes, please! In fact, this piece was created to illustrate an Earth-3 story idea (wherein Booster Gold tries to correct history for the Crime Syndicate and rescue the real Maxwell Lord) by Pedro Angosto. You can read the whole pitch on Pedro's site, Hombre de Bronze. (The site is in Spanish, but you can always have Google translate it like I did.)
If you're desperate for some more Despero, consider dropping by these pages today:

See you next year, Despero!
