Learning to Fly
No Booster Gold costume is complete without a Legion of Super-Heroes Flight Ring. Typically, there are only two ways to get rings: you become a member member of the 31st-century Legion of Super Heroes, or you steal one from a museum. For a limited time, you can have your own without inventing time travel or turning to a life of crime!
That postcard campaign back in February/March 2010 must have worked, because last week DC released their latest ring promotion for buyers Legion: Secret Origin #1. Rush out and pick up a copy of the book, and that ring can be yours, baby!
(I apologize for not mentioning this last Wednesday. DC announced this promotion back in August and then buried it, probably because it's not tied-in to the New 52 that the company has been working so hard to promote. Without a reminder, I simply forgot about it. Fortunately for all of us who can't get one anymore at our Local Comic Shops anymore, there's always eBay.)

A Very Distinctive Mugg
Ever hear of Mighty Muggs, the vinyl in-action figure from Hasbro? I hadn't, but that didn't surprise me when I learned that while there had been Marvel figures, there had never been DC figures. Turns out someone is taking steps to rectify that situation.
This customized Booster Gold Mighty Mugg was created by Sid the Kid and is for sale on eBay. (The sale will end shortly after I post this, so if you're interested, act fast.) Looks like Booster's been doing some squats!

Fred Hembeck Destroys the Justice League
We've spent a lot of time with the Smallville version of Booster Gold this week, so let's give some equal time to a very comic-bookish version by artist/humorist Fred Hembeck.
This black and white sketch of 32 select Justice Leaguer members can be seen in greater detail on his site at hembeck.com. Act now and you can find it available for purchase via eBay.com -- auction ending today!
Hembeck and his unique style are probably best known for the Dateline: @!!?# strips, though Hembeck also can take credit for destroying the entire Marvel Universe. He hasn't drawn a lot of Booster Gold, but it's good to see that Hembeck's Booster is still rocking that high collar.
Remember, no matter where you find him or how he's dressed, Boosterrific.com is your place for all things Booster Gold!

Cyber Monday Greetings from Thailand
In the spirit of Cyber Monday, I present this Booster-centric t-shirt found on eBay.com under the auction title "Mens T-shirt Super hero Skate Board dc man short W87 #M." (I found it while scouring eBay for "DC Heroes" for the DC Heroes RPG.) The seller, tamegems, is based in Bangkok, Thailand, and the item is very likely unlicensed. Booster would be pretty cheesed off to learn that someone somewhere was making money off his famous face without his permission.
The art for this t-shirt is pulled almost entirely from a one-panel splash introduction for "The Origin of Booster Gold" by Dan Jurgens, Andy Lanning, and Alex Sinclair as originally published in 52 Week 24 and hosted on DC's website, dccomics.com. Note the terrible lettering of the word "Superhero" cribbed from the "Superman" logo and the relocation of many of the buildings from the original to fill the extra space. I have no idea where those cars come from, but I think they make a nice touch for scale.
Despite that, I would have snapped up that sucker in an instant, but as is typical of international eBay auctions, the shipping was equal to the price of the shirt! Though the auction ended over the weekend, you may browse other wares offered by tamegems here.

L'eggo my Lego!
Despite the explosion of Lego out of the toybox and into the collectible market, the Danish toy giant hasn't gotten around to giving us DC minifigs outside of the Batman mythos just yet. Thankfully, customlegominifigs.com has your Booster Gold needs covered with their custom decal sheet for DC heroes. You can buy the sheets through their eBay store and assemble your own blocky Justice League. Sorry, but you'll have to build your own Skeets.
