New Release: Smallville Season 11: Continuity

Booster Gold doesn't play a big part in today's Smallville Season 11: Continuity #2, but a small part is better than no part at all.

Two weeks into 2015 and two comics with Booster Gold appearances? I'm announcing that 2015 is The Year of Booster Gold!

Whatever Happened to the Man of Gold?

The fans have spoken! You want better tracking of alternate continuities, and I agree. Once I have modified the Boosterrific database to be able to track such things, I'll go back and reclassify each issue according to continuity and chronology within that continuity. I'll change the individual book listings to link within those continuities and also build new pages to output the new lists. That probably sounds like more work than it is, but I'd still better get cracking if I want to have that done in time for Convergence in April! (You know, having too much Booster Gold to track is a good problem to have.)

Last week's poll question: How should Boosterrific.com handle continuity of appearances? (53 votes)

How should Boosterrific.com handle continuity of appearances?

If you aren't aware, DC has announced the first 10 of their 2-part mini-series replacing their regular titles in April/May. (See the list on ComicBookResources.com.)

The good news is that most of these stories take place in the DCU abandoned after Flashpoint. The bad news is that there has yet to be any mention of Booster Gold. Dan Jurgens, Booster's creator and the writer of Booster Gold: Futures End #1, has already been announced as the writer for Superman. Where does that leave our hero?

You Can't Tell the Players without a Program

Of those of you who don't like LEGO games, how many don't play video games at all? (That's not a criticism or a judgment, just curiosity.)

Last week's poll question: Are you planning on buying LEGO Batman 3:Beyond Gotham? (48 votes)

Are you planning on buying LEGO Batman 3:Beyond Gotham?

With Booster Gold now meeting Booster Gold in Futures End and re-teaming with a not-dead Blue Beetle in Justice League 300, to say nothing about what might be happening in April's Convergence event, is it time that I started sorting out and tracking the separate chronologies of the Booster Gold of various universes (pre-Flashpoint, New 52, Giffen/DeMatteis, Justice League Unlimited, etc.)?

I Could Quit Any Time I Wanted

As Mel Brooks once said, "hope for the best, expect the worst."

Last week's poll question: Do you think we will see Booster Gold reappear in the DCnU before 2014? (47 votes)

Do you think we will see Booster Gold reappear in the DCnU before 2014?

With the American football season less than a month away, those who enjoy to gamble on the sport are already sharpening their skills with around the clock media coverage. Do you think that includes Booster Gold?

Never Has I Told You So Been So Unsatisfying

Back on June 25, I wrote, "Booster Gold fans might not want to expect too much participation from Booster Gold in the upcoming Justice League 'Trinity War' event." I am not happy to report that I told you so.

Last week's poll question: What was your reaction to the news that Booster Gold will play no part in Trinity War? (49 votes)

What was your reaction to the news that Booster Gold will play no part in Trinity War?

Obviously, most of you were still holding out hope for an appearance by our hero. To continue on that theme, I point out that four months remain in the year (where does the time go?), and there is currently no reason to expect to see Booster Gold return to the DCnU anytime soon. How optimistic are you about seeing Booster before the calendar rolls over?
