Booster Gold Versus Ambush Bug

A few days ago, Booster booster Harry reported in the Boosterrific Forum that final sales estimates were in for the entire Booster Gold run of Giffen and DeMatteis. All things being equal, the news isn't that bad.

Booster Gold sales May 2010 to April 2011

The sales fall seems to hit rock bottom with issue 41 and bounce back a little following the introduction of the Perforated Man. It's probably anyone's guess whether this is because the title finally found its sales floor, fans were excited about the storyline, or speculators were gathering for the pending Jurgens return/Flashpoint tie-in. If this is any indication, Booster Gold may still have a bit of life left. (Hopefully, this isn't simply a dead cat bounce.)

Weekend Update: More Skeets, More Bugs

Over the weekend, Skeets was given his own page here at Boosterrific.com. I figured that now that he seems to be an active member of the Justice League International (more useful than L-Ron ever was, anyway), the little guy has earned it.

Also, some recent changes to the server settings may have had a detrimental effect on the cookie retention for news and reviews comment forms. If anyone has noticed that you have to re-enter your name when leaving a comment somewhere here on the site when once upon a time the site remembered who you were, please email webmaster at boosterrific dot com and let me know what browser you are using. Thanks (and, if applicable, sorry).

I think I got burned on the cookie retention thing before, but its cool, nice to see Skeets getting more love too.

Does that mean that the cookies are retaining for you now, tiggerpete?

they are if I click on the boxes, but it isn't automatic

Hmm. Well, I've tweaked the scripts a bit and it should be working automatically now. (Hard to type with fingers crossed.)

hey look at that, it works! thx, btw I picked the most recent issue of Booster Gold as my pick of the week on the project fanboy podcast (the Fanboy Buzz) as a fill-in episode, its only 6 minutes, and isn't very detailed, but it is quite positive IMO. its episode 13.5 of the Fanboy Buzz if you're curious

You mean the podcast here? Dude, I think you guys may be dating yourselves with Diff'rent Strokes references. (Though I suppose that they are topical right now, huh?) Thanks for the heads-up.

yeah, sorry, that was my little joke, I had just listened to another podcast mourning Gary Coleman, so it was in my head at the time. If Booster keeps getting more and more important, I'm thinking we'll talk even more about him, in fact in our just recorded/not yet posted episode 14, we talk about a potential Blue Beetle tv show (more news will follow at comic con)
