Booster Gold appears alongside (clockwise) Fire, Green Lantern Guy Gardner, an unidentified Rocket Red, Ice, and Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) in a flashback to their time in the Justice League International. The pose is evocative of the cover to Justice League #1 (1987), although only Beetle and Gardner were members of the team at that time. Booster joined the team in issue #4, Rocket Red 7 was added when the title was changed to Justice League International #7 and was replaced by Rocket Red 4 in Justice League International #11, and Fire and Ice joined officially in Justice League International #14. All of them would remain on the active roster until the International team was broken into American and European divisions following Justice League International #24. This is Booster's only appearance in this issue.

Ted Kord activates a "temporal lock" which is "a trick I picked up from a good friend!" Given that temporal is defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary as "of or relating to time," in all likelihood that friend is Booster Gold.
