Carol Ferris is the daughter of the founder and CEO of Ferris Aircraft, an aerospace research and development concern that has supplied the world with advanced aircraft and military hardware alike.
Though Booster Gold did not meet Carol Ferris at the time, Ferris Aircraft was among the sponsors of Booster Gold's CONGLOMERATE. After the disappearance of her lover, Hal Jordan, Carol Ferris was hired by the EXTREME JUSTICE team in order to support their operations in MOUNT THUNDER. The first meeting between Booster Gold and Carol Ferris has never been seen, though the careers and lives of the two have crossed on several occasions.
Carol Ferris has long been the unwilling host of the evil Star Sapphire, foe of Ferris' lover Hal Jordon (see GREEN LANTERN CORPS and STAR SAPPHIRES). Booster Gold battled Star Sapphire among other ECLIPSO-control heroes and villains as a member of the HEROES UNITED AGAINST ECLIPSO.)
