Newsarama.com recently declared Booster Gold the best time-traveling comic book hero "of all time." (Does that include the comic books of the future?) However, Booster still isn't as well known as television's greatest time traveler, Doctor Who.
Ross Pearsall has done his part to correct that imbalance in two recent issues of his long-running Super-Team Family Presents... mash-ups.
And these aren't the only Booster Gold related team-ups Pearsall has given us in the past month. Ross also reunited Roboforce, the all-robot team of Skeets, R2D2, Red Tornado, Atomic Robo, and Machine Man in a battle against their mortal enemy, Magnus: Robot Fighter! You can see that issue on braveandboldlost.blogspot.com.
Keep up the good work, Ross.

The time-traveling "Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm" has been cast for the Arrow/Flash spin-off on the CW. News broke yesterday that Arthur Darvill (known to all time-travel fans as Rory on Doctor Who) will be playing Rip Hunter.
Whether this news makes you happy or sad that it won't be Booster Gold in the upcoming series, you have to admit that The Boy Who Waited is imminently qualified for the part (assuming he can speak in an American accent).

Whatever you think about Doctor Who (who turns 50 this year and has indubitably earned his position as the International King of the Time Travelers), the star of this video is the Booster Gold costume!
That star... that cape... that's Booster Gold's original costume! Aaron Wahl, you are Boosterrific!

Let's close the week on something a little more fun and whimsical than yesterday's discussion of depressing sales figures, shall we?
Brian Brad Millette submitted the above sketch to the latest "The Line It Is Drawn" column of the Comics Should Be Good blog at Comic Book Resources this week. It's about time that Booster Gold and the Doctor should meet.
No doubt should they ever cross fictional universes for an encounter, this is very likely the reception that Booster Gold would receive from the Doctor. Though I never thought of it this way before, that would make the Doctor very much like Hal Jordan in Vanishing Point: capable of creating the most insane deus ex machina and very disdainful of those who don't share his point of view. Who knew?
