This issue picks up almost immediately where the last issue leaves off, with OMACs filling the sky above New York City where Booster Gold and Batman were attempting to recruit Wonder Woman. Also present are the rest of the new Justice League International: Blue Beetle, Captain Atom, Fire, Ice, Power Girl, Rocket Red, and Skeets.
Page 3, panel 3
You know that things are not going well when Batman is outsmarted. And you can tell that Batman is really irritated when he uses double exclamation points. Twice. At Skeets.
Page 4, panel 2
What is going on in this 3/4-page panel? It looks like a swarm of OMACs have just "COOOM"-ed into a room from the ceiling. But the Justice League, including Wonder Woman, were all outdoors. There are other panels in this issue that are a little confusing (including strange foreshortening and unusual compositions), but this seems to be a splash page that is just taking up space without advancing the story. Are 20 pages per issue too many? This page seems the only significant artistic misstep in a book that is otherwise taut and exciting.
Page 8, panel 1
Most of the JLI have been teleported to Los Angeles. Notably excluded is Captain Atom. Atom has played a significant role in the series to date and is the only member of this incarnation of the Justice League International not present as the series reaches its climax.
Page 9, panel 2
The Checkmate Knight ship appears in the sky over Los Angeles with a "CREEOOOM." The ship was last seen teleporting away ("HWEEEEEEE*") in Justice League: Generation Lost #20.
Page 10, panel 1
A hatch near the snout of the stylized Checkmate Knight logo on the Checkmate vessel's underbelly disgorges a flaming ball into downtown Los Angeles. That's right: it came straight from the horse's mouth. Speaking of animals, the Peregrine Falcon, the fastest bird in the world, has been calculated to dive attack its prey at speeds of up to 242 MPH.

FIRST APPEARANCE: The JLI meets OMAC Prime, a clear descendant of the adaptive android that Power Girl first met in Power Girl, Volume 3, #14.
Page 12, panel 4
Out of concern for the safety of bystanders, Booster Gold politely asks that the coming fight take place outside of Los Angeles. Of course his opponent says no (demonstrating that he is "evil"), but this sort of consideration is refreshing preceding the typical super-heroic fisticuffs that will no doubt result in millions of dollars of property damage and civilian casualties. Thank you, Booster!
Page 15, panel 1
This is the second time in his young career that Rocket Red has cursed in his native tongue. Perhaps "chyort," a Russian slang interjection comparable to "darn," is Rocket Red's catch phrase, like "Boosterrific"!
Page 17, panel 1
Oh, yes, this is the moment that this series has been building towards, as Booster Gold and Maxwell Lord come face-to-face aboard the flying Checkmate vessel.
