In the year 2462, Space Museum janitor and disgraced Gotham University quarterback Michael Jon Carter stole several museum exhibits and traveled back in time to the year 1985 to assume a new career as the super hero Booster Gold.
Since his debut in 1985 as DC Comic's first major character in its newly reorganized post-Crisis on Infinite Earths Universe, Booster Gold has appeared in 316 comic books, working alongside most of DC Comic's most storied characters, including Superman and Batman. What has made Booster Gold unique in the years since is his uncommon embrace of global celebrity and monetary reward for performing super heroic acts often associated with more altruistic heroes.
