Maybe It Is My Breath
For the first time since September 2010, Boosterrific.com failed to achieve more than 100 visits any day last week.
September is typically a down month for visitors to the site anyway, but last month was especially bad. Is that because school is starting? Is football getting in the way? Was everyone busy watching the premier of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D or the finale of Breaking Bad?
I don't know what anyone else has been up to, but my own schedule is becoming increasingly hectic. That comes at the same time as Booster Gold news has flatlined. Combine my schedule, the lack of news, and a decline in interest, and the signs seem to indicate that I should cut down from 5 to maybe 3 posts per week.
To be clear: this isn't an announcement. I haven't made any decision about this yet. I'm just warning the few readers who still come by regularly that changes may be coming.

Nothing to See Here
I discovered yesterday that the Boosterrific.com email has been losing emails since at least early Saturday morning. If you have tried to contact me through email in the past few days, I may not have received it.

I think I've fixed the problem. Just in case I haven't, if you need to share some Boosterrific news, you can now also reach me by way of Boosterrific at Gmail.com. Some things are just too important to leave to chance.

New Digital Release: Smallville: Season 11 #43
Has it been a week already? The second installment of "Argo" goes online at ComicXology.com today as Smallville: Season 11 #43. This story takes place outside of familiar DC Continuity, as the events of Smallville are considered to take place in their own pocket universe.
Both Boosterrific.com and ComiXology.com came online in July 2007. I did not foresee then that one day DC would be publishing weekly digital content that would be compiled monthly into a printed copy. At the time, all I had to work with were printed floppies, and I had no reason to give any consideration to how this site would handle weekly digital releases. But now here we are.
So long as DC is still compiling digital issues into print, I'm inclined to wait to update the Boosterrific database until the book is in my hand. I don't really see any reason to re-evaluate that policy until Booster Gold makes an in-continuity appearance in a weekly digital format. We'll see what happens as DC evolves its publishing model for the 21st century.

Server Migration in Progress
I've had enough! So I'm moving the site to a new server. If this makes everything faster, the problem was the old server. If nothing changes, the problem is the scripts that run Boosterrific.com. We'll know the answer soon enough....

Is It Just Me?
For all the problems I'm having around here, at least the poll voting is working.
Realistically, how many people who visit a website devoted to a character whose title was cancelled for the New 52 are going to be satisfied by whatever replaced it? Looks like the answer is about 27%.
Last week's poll question: Other than how it relates to Booster Gold, are you happy with the New 52 so far? (47 votes)
I've only gotten a few complaints about the server problems here at Boosterrific.com, but I strongly suspect that for each complaint I get, there must be a dozen others who are silently disgruntled. I need to know how much trouble this is so that I can allocate the appropriate resources to eradicating it. Now's your opportunity to speak up anonymously and tell me if the slow response is damaging your satisfaction with the site, too.
