Booster Gold, the Minion

Wait, Blue & Gold will be minions of Darkseid? I sure hope that's just bad grammar.

hey if Blue and Gold are going to be in Smallville, maybe that is foreshadowing of a Justice League spin-off for when Smallville ends? I certainly hope so.

I think I remember hearing something about a blue beetle (Jaime Reyes) show in the works or at least a pilot. A booster gold show or animated series would be totally awesome but probably be too hard to do, I think they'd have to do a season or two of back story before jumping into his path to becoming a time master. It's unlikely but I can dream can't I?

@tiggerpete: the internet is abuzz with potential replacements for Smallville. The CW is open minded, and DC really wants to expand their media properties. We'll see what we see.

Booster Gold, minion and possible sidekick of the Blue Beetle. Not bad for someone who used to be a third-stringer. The placement sure would hurt his ego, though.

There was an interview with Geoff Johns on Newsarama, I think. (Or one of the comic news sites.) Anyway, it seemed to be Jaime that was going to be showing up on Smallville, but he teased that Ted Kord *might* show up.<br />I'm really bummed about the poassibility of the Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle show being picked up, because now a whole generation of fans will only know him as the Blue Beetle, and not Ted.

I guess they meant "(..)Darkseid and his minions AND Hawkgirl, Deadshot, Booster Gold and Blue Beetle too"<br />I hope they do them some justice..but by Smallville standards..it can be either good (Zatanna, Hawkman) or very bad (J'onn, Cyborg)

The Big Booster Gold News from Comic Con

On Sunday at the Smallville panel, Geoff Johns told the world that Booster Gold and Blue Beetle (and Skeets!) will be on Smallville this season. (See a review of news from the panel at Newsarama.com.) Johns, in an interview with Comic Book Resources (viewable here), says that the Smallville Booster will be "very Booster-Gold-y." I have no idea what that means, but I expect good things.

Johns' affinity for the character is well documented. He will no doubt treat the character right. Johns-written episodes of Smallville have gotten good press and high viewership, so signs point to this episode having a good chance of introducing a whole new generation to the character of Booster Gold a la "The Greatest Story Never Told." What's the chance that Booster gets called "Green Lantern" at least once?

We'll keep an eye out for casting news and air dates for Booster's live-action debut.
