I love Geoff Johns, but not to the exclusion of all other writers, I really have enjoyed Jurgens' run on BG, besides, there are plenty of DC titles that could use Johns' touch, do I want to see another Geoff Johns run of BG? yes, of course, but he isn't the only writer I would trust with Booster

I'm just pulling your chain, 'pete. I don't love everything he does, but Johns is no doubt one of the good ones. It's just that as far as I'm concerned, Booster Gold is pure Dan Jurgens and I hate to see him go. While I'd personally love to see an Alan Moore Booster Gold story, I'm not holding my breath. (I'd die of asphyxiation.) I'm certainly glad that if anyone is going to get Booster, it's Giffen.

I know, Giffen is a great writer, and I think he can keep things at the high standard that Jurgens is leaving at. of course one person who I would like to see have a run or at least a story arc on BG is Grant Morrison, time travel seems to fit pretty well into his history of weird crazy stories filled with obscure DC trivia, I would love to see what he would do.

Excited? I have a hard time getting psyched up about yet another in DC's never-ending mini-series tangentially related to an "event" book. But I do love me some Booster Gold, no matter when or where or how transparent the sales gimmick.

Sorry, Harry. Every change I make to the background code breaks something, and sometimes it takes me forever to figure out what I just broke. It's fixed now! (The links to news, that is. I still don't know what is causing the rejection by your browser.)

I recently dug out my comic books from my teen years and skimmed through them. I realized that JLI 25 was probably most responsible for my fondness of the Blue and Gold. It has flaws (as pointed out by reviews on this site) in the art and execution... but for this teenager, the tale served to really humanize the two characters. They came across as real people living in the world of gods. Combined with their previous antics and history, this issue brings me twenty years later to this website.

consider this one already sold and on its way to my house, I love rereading JLI stuff, and the trades make it so much easier to read at one time without digging through my comics to find single issues

You will probably not be surprised to hear that I've got all the JLI issues (International, America, Europe, Quarterly, Specials) in one convenient long box not far from arms' reach. I know that I'm biased, but even the worst of them is better than the current angst-ridden JLoA run.

I haven't read all of the JLI era books, but I will agree that the JLA recently has been on a down note since Meltzer left, and if Cry for Justice is any indication, the future doesn't look very bright, but hey, there is always Generation Lost to look forward to.
