It's Going to Be a Late Night
Who says that gentlemen don't like to laugh?
The above art -- a re-tasked spread from the December 2011 issue of GQ magazine -- comes to us from Catalog Heroes, a tumblr blog dedicated to turning our fav celebs and models into our fav spandexed heroes. Certainly, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold never looked so good. You can see more here.

The Way He Was Meant to Look
Recently, Monday has become "pin-up" day here at Boosterrific.com. That wasn't intentional, but it sure seems like there is some pretty good Booster Gold fan art showing up online these days. It sure would be a shame not to spotlight it. Today's work is no exception.
It seems that so often, online artist's interpretations of Skeets are based on the Justice League Unlimited cartoon. It just goes to show how much more influence television has on popular culture compared to comic books.
This piece was created by D.C. Stuelpner. Stuelpner's blogspot blog, A Sketchy Situation, is full of great work. Give it a look.

Ekam Steeks a Puc-c!
Sufficiently advanced technology could be indistinguishable from magic, but Booster's 25th-century tech may have met its match in Zatanna's wand.
The delightful piece above of Zatanna working her magic on Blue and Gold (and Skeets!) was drawn as a commission by Loston Wallace. You can find more of Wallace's work on his website, lostonwallace.com, or over on deviantart.com.

If This Hero Thing Doesn't Pan Out...
At long last, someone has finally answered the question of what Booster Gold would have looked like as a prospector in 19th-century California. Chaz Folgar recently submitted the following image to Comic Book Resources' "The Line it is Drawn" column as part of its "place comic book characters into different time periods" challenge.
Click the image above to go see a larger copy of this and other fine works at Comics Should Be Good's website. You can see more of Folgar's work on his website, Chazfstan.wordpress.com. As Skeets would say, "dig it."

Ready for the Future
The server migration is complete. Mostly. There are some lingering problems with the Forum, and it will remain closed until debug is complete. Otherwise, everything else appears to be working fine. If you note anything broken, please let me know in the comments or via email at webmaster at Boosterrific.com.

The above pin-up pretty much sums up my current optimism. It was created by Michael Birkhofer a few years ago, but good art never goes out of style. You can find more of Birkhofer's work on his website mbirkhofer.com and commission information at mbirkhofer.deviantart.com.
[UPDATE 01/23/12: Forum is now restored and re-opened.]
