A Wink and a Smile

Back in May, SketchLottery.com showcased several sketches of Booster Gold. The artist's interpretation of Booster ran from the profound to the absurd, but all of them were inspired. My favorite is this watercolor by Brooklyn artist Marilyn Patrizio.

You can find more of Patrizio's excellent work on Blogspot. And, of course, check out the other Booster sketches at SketchLottery.com.

The Real Dynamic Duo

Does it get better than this?

Booster and Blue by Robert Atkins and Simon Gough

"Booster and Blue" were two separate ink sketches by Robert Atkins (robertatkinsart.blogspot.com) that have been combined and colored by Simon Gough (spidermanfan2099.deviantart.com). Together, they make a good team.

Maya Nord's Blue and Gold

Just a little Blue and Gold gender-bent fan art today.

Onwards and Upwards by Maya Nord

Maybe you've seen more of artist Maya Nord's Earth-11 Justice League International on Comics Alliance, or her Roaring '20s interpretation of the JLI at Project Rooftop. But you haven't seen anything unless you check out her excellent work on Deviant Art. Enjoy!

JL8 Is Great

Booster booster Chris Aguinaldo was the first point my attention to Li'l Blue and Gold, appearing in the latest installment of the JL8 webcomic by Yale Stewart.

I have to admit, I had never heard of JL8 until Wednesday, but it seems that many of you are already following it. As I said, Chris was the first to point me in that direction via email, but I have also gotten notifications about it in Twitter and private messages, and it is even a thread in the Boosterrific Forum. Maybe I'm the only one who didn't know about it!

Stewart has taken this strip one step further and merchandised it with a "Cheese it, Ted!" golden t-shirt that you can order at Society6.com.

Thanks to Yale for making such a Boosterrific comic and shirt (why doesn't Boosterrific.com offer any t-shirts?), and to everyone else for pointing it out.

If He Ever Shows Up, He Can Wear What He Wants

Over on Deviant Art, Chinese artist Fuge has imagined an updated Ted Kord's costume for the New 52.

Blue and Gold for the New 52 by onlyfuge

I'm not nuts about the gold panels on Ted's costume, but if he has to wear something like that to run with the New 52 crowd, I can live with it. On the other hand, the "belt" on Booster's costume is an upgrade.

Check out more of Fuge's work at onlyfuge.deviantart.com.
