Russ Burlingame is getting fast with his "International Exchange" interviews with Dan Jurgens at theouthousers.com. The latest column was published yesterday afternoon.

IX: Booster seems much more receptive to Godiva this issue than he was last time around. Is that my imagination, or the heat of battle, or something more?

DJ: The something more is simple: When a pretty girl bats her eyes at Booster he immediately softens a bit. Besides, any question of receptiveness in #1 was due more to a lack of familiarity.

Could there be love in the air? Say, didn't Time Masters: Vanishing Point reveal that Booster's future wife is a blond? Hmm?

"Not benched"? Has Skeets been destroyed? Is Skeets having missions without Booster? Has Skeets been rebooted with a sense of humor? Did Jim Lee redesign Skeets into something akin to Doctor Who's K-9? I have to know!!

With the cancellation of Booster Gold comes the cancellation of Russ Burligame's monthly "Gold Exchange" column at Comic Related interviewing the series creators. Fortunately, like the phoenix rising from the ashes of the DCU, Burlingame now presents us with the "International Exchange" column at The Outhouse. New site, new name, new series; same old Dan Jurgens. Isn't it nice to know that some things don't change?

IX: The comment about the basement-dwellers is kind of begging for a response, isn't it? I know some people on the Internet seem to have gotten their nose bent out of shape over the comment, but I read it as Briggs being the devil's advocate and Booster speaking your position for you. Did I misunderstand?

J: You didn't misunderstand at all. I wrote that line right around the time that DC's plans had become public. I'm always fascinated by a response from people who claim to despise product before they've seen it or really know anything about it.

Do I understand fans having a tremendous allegiance to a previous universe and timeline? Of course. Hell, I wrote a lot of that so I have a fondness for it as well.

However, I think it's still fair to ask them to be a bit openminded and receptive about what we're trying to do.

So Briggs' comment address a very, very small group that reacted in that way. Frankly, it's good to have a sense of humor about some of this and read it with that in mind.

So Jurgens was talking to me! There's plenty in the full interview to indicate that so far as Jurgens is concerned, little has changed for Booster Gold in the DCnU.

Raymond Master's interview with Dan Jurgens was posted last week at the GeekDad blog on Wired.com. The interview was conducted a few weeks ago and as usually the case with Jurgens' interviews, it is not exactly filled with ground-breaking inforamtion. However, it's not without it's value.

[GeekDad:] Aside from his creation, of course, what's your favorite Booster memory from the early days? And more recently?

[Jurgens:] My favorite memory is probably seeing the first issue on the stands. I was fairly new to the business and very, very raw as a writer. It was quite a hurdle to get the project moving and an even bigger thrill to actually see it through to realization.

But that's not all! An interview with Jurgens and Aaron Lopresti by Poet Mase appeared last week in IGN's series on the New 52. This interview is more recent than GeekDad's and is considerably more focused on Justice League International.

IGN: There was quite a bit of discussion about Wonder Woman's pants on the Justice League cover, but largely lost in the shuffle was the disappearing act pulled by the ninth member of the JLI cover. You said previously that it wasn't Wonder Woman or Donna Troy and that you were intentionally keeping things quiet. Now she's gone. What can you tell us about what happened and why?

Jurgens: This is one of those instances where cover art was prepared before we had finalized all the plans for the first issue's story. We continued to make some adjustments in the cast, shifting some story elements around and that mandated the change.

I present the following evidence from yesterday's Justice League International, Volume 3, #1, that Dan Jurgens lurks in the Boosterrific.com Forum.

Maybe I've read too many comic books lately, but it sure seems like they are starting to talk directly to me. Do I live in a basement? Check. Do I spend all day on the Internet? Check. Do I have a closed mind? Check and mate.

Point to you, Mr. Jurgens. But Booster's new costume still sucks.
