The Perfect Team-Up Is Just One Man

I suppose it figures that the Booster Gold with the fewest votes is also the Booster Gold who has appeared in the fewest number of panels (exactly one, which is also the number of votes he got).

Last week's poll question: Which alternate-continuity version of himself should Booster Gold meet during Convergence? (44 votes)

Which alternate-continuity version of himself should Booster Gold meet during Convergence?

Now that Convergence is upon us, let's talk about the elseworlds where a single creator — combination of writer and artist — other than Dan Jurgens was responsible for telling the stories of most of Booster Gold's adventures. Who would you want to read?

Holographic 3D Comics Are Not Yet an Option

It seems a shame that it is equally impossible that Alan Moore will ever write for Booster Gold as it is that Jack Kirby will rise from the dead to draw him.

Last week's poll question: Which legendary writer/artist duo would you have liked to see collaborate on Booster Gold? (42 votes)

After last week's poll exercise in the classics, let's go back to the future!

What Could Have Been?

It's been a week, and I'm still pissed off about how bad Justice League International Annual #1 was.

Last week's poll question: Did you enjoy how Justice League International Annual wrapped up the series? (43 votes)

Did you enjoy how Justice League International Annual wrapped up the series?

But enough about the present. Let's return to the topic of three weeks ago: classic artists. How you feel about the classic writer/artists teams? Each of the following pairs created an iconic hero with a discernible style.

The Fringes of Fandom?

I'm quite glad to see that each of these artists has supporters among Booster Gold fans. (At this point, I'd even be willing to see Liefeld get his hands on Booster.)

Last week's poll question: Which still-active artist who has never drawn Booster Gold would you most like to see draw the character? (41 votes)

Which still-active artist who has never drawn Booster Gold would you most like to see draw the character?

That was fun. We'll revisit the topic of artists in the near future. In the meantime, a more topical question given my recent post:

One more thing of note: Adam Warrock of "Booster Gold" rap fame will be having a 24-hour long Rap-A-Thon fundraiser tomorrow to help replace equipment recently stolen. If you liked his Booster Gold rap, or if you'd like to hear him make more DC or pop-culture-centric raps in the future, consider popping over to his site AdamWarrock.com tomorrow, August 24, 2012, and making a donation to his cause.

One for the Ages

Like Justice League International, the Olympics are now over. But like Justice League International, they'll be back.

Last week's poll question: In which individual Olympic event would Booster Gold most be most likely win a Gold Medal? (39 votes)

In which individual Olympic event would Booster Gold most be most likely win a Gold Medal?

One thing that will never be back is Joe Kubert. When Kubert died earlier this week, the world lost one of its great artists. Kubert's passing denies us the opportunity of seeing his interpretation of Booster Gold. I'm sure his Skeets would have looked amazing.
