As anyone who has read page 17, panel 1 of yesterday's Justice League International #2 (or Russ Burlingame's article for ComicBook.com) knows, Booster's computerized companion, Skeets, is alive and well in the DCnU. The golden guide is taking care of business in the previously unseen "Booster Cave," Booster's new secret headquarters. Move over, Superman robots, Skeets is in the house!
Booster Gold has long been an admirer of Batman, going so far as majoring in "Superheroes" in college. Now that Booster is a successful hero in his own right as leader of the Justice League, it's only fitting that Booster would have his own secluded headquarters. The possible creation of a "Boostercave" was first teased in Booster Gold, Volume 2, #21. Four years and one major universe reboot later, that dream has become a reality.
Now that we're all relieved to learn Skeets is still a player in the DCnU, let's focus on the new mystery at hand: what trophies does Booster keep in his Booster Cave?

Heck, I'm happy to hear Skeets, let alone to know that Time Lab still exists. And if it still exists, than who knows-maybe even Vanishing Point survived the reboot, along with Rip, Ranni and Goldstar.

That is pretty cool, although I too would also like to see his supporting cast. <br /><br />But to answer your question: the Boostermobile of course, the time dagger & other things he picked up on his travels.

The Boostermobile has to be there! I'm also voting for the Mona Lisa (the real one, stolen August 21, 1911), which is after all really a painting of Michelle.

I would like to believe that the Boostercave would grow over time and slowly evolve into Vanishing Point. Though I guess the chance is rather high that Booster comment was simply tongue in cheek.

Traditionally, comics retailers have ordered significantly fewer copies of second issues than first issues. That being the case, you may want to hustle to your Local Comic Shop before Justice League International #2 sells out today (assuming you don't buy your comics online where they never sell out). Don't be the last on your block to learn the stunning answer to the biggest question in the DCnU!
"Not benched"? Has Skeets been destroyed? Is Skeets having missions without Booster? Has Skeets been rebooted with a sense of humor? Did Jim Lee redesign Skeets into something akin to Doctor Who's K-9? I have to know!!

And it is revealed...Skeets is 'back at the booster cave, keeping an eye on...'<br /><br />I choose to read that as Booster still being a Time Master, and Skeets is watching over things while Booster does the UN thing

Kevin, one thing that I felt would be an extremely great concept in Justice League International would be the revelation that Booster (and Skeets) remember the pre-DCnU Universe. Unfortunately, that seems to run against the purpose of DCnU (i.e. starting fresh without backstory.) However, over time, I imagine that the "DCU" may work it's way through the new universe, at least the memory of it. I, for one, can't wait for that to happen... it just may take a while.<br /><br />When it happens, it will make Skeets happy!!!

As Shawn pointed out in yesterday's comments, Booster Gold came in #13 in the Comic Book Resources' Comics Should Be Good "2011 Top 100 DC Comic Book Characters" poll posted last month. Booster received a total of 20 first place votes, as many as Darkseid, Supergirl, and Martian Manhunter combined. (By comparison, the most favored character, Batman, received 313 first place votes, winning by a wide margin.) That's a pretty good showing for a character almost unknown to the general public. Either the voters at CBR.com are a bunch of nerdy comic-book geeks, or Booster's stock is rising!

Nice showing by Booster. It did warm my heart a bit to see Ted on the list too (especially ahead of Jamie!).<br /><br />Can't wait for JLI 2 tomorrow, there was a lot of intro in the first book, maybe now we can really see them as a team.

Quora, a socially-networked Q&A site, has a page titled "Who are the lamest superheroes?" Guess who makes the list? (Hint: you are reading this at Boosterrific.com.) Also on the list are Aquaman, Daredevil, and Robin. Whether they are all lame heroes or not, they would no doubt make very interesting dinner guests.

Comicvine.com has posted an exclusive preview of Justice League International #2. The preview -- click here to read it at comicvine.com -- shows four apparently non-consecutive pages, so to get the whole story, you'll have to buy the whole issue shipping this coming Wednesday, October 5. Let the countdown begin!
