Booster Gold at NYCC
If there was any news about Booster Gold at this past weekend's New York Comic Con, I still haven't heard it. DC was too busy crowing about their upcoming weekly Batman title, I guess. (Everyone knows that there can never be too many Batman titles. I think Albert Einstein proved that when he published his theory on Batman Relativity in 1939.)
But just because no one was talking about him doesn't mean that Booster Gold wasn't there.
Photographer C.S. Muncy snapped this pic of Booster Gold, "The Greatest Hero You've Never Heard Of," at the convention on Saturday. You'll find more of Muncy's work at ComicBook.com. (Link courtesy Russ Burlingame.)
If you like cosplay pics, brace yourself. Tomorrow Booster cosplayer Pyynk talks about his hobby to Boosterrific.com. Stay tuned!

Booster Gold Announcement at NYCC?
Last week BleedingCool.com both teased and debunked a rumored list of upcoming DC Comics announcements for New York Comic Con.
Of particular note to Booster Gold fans was the implication that Booster Gold would be announced (again), to be written and drawn by Dan Jurgens (again).
We now know that the list was completely fabricated, but it's still nice to think that some Booster Gold announcement could come out of NYCC, which starts today. Keep hope alive!

The Perfect Team-Up
I'm sure that if Booster Gold thought it would get him some extra attention, he'd change his gold to green and orange polka dots.
Last week's poll question: Should Booster Gold color his uniform pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month? (45 votes)
No man is an island. For Micheal Jon Carter to become the Booster Gold we all know and love, he had to have some help along the way. Which supporting character has contributed the most to your enjoyment of Booster and his exploits?

DC Comics Is Doing Fine without Booster Gold
Out suspicions were confirmed earlier this week that DC Comics had near-record sales in September with its Forever Evil mini-series and tie-ins. For those of you who hate event books, remember this. Yes, they are usually mediocre, editorially driven stories. But boy howdy, do they sell!
ComiChron.com reports that DC Comics sold over 4 million copies of 129 different comics in September 2013. That made September sales nearly as good as those in the first week of their "New 52" initiative back in October 2011.
The good news is that DC looks healthy and wealthy, at least for the time being. Keep in mind that DC needs to stay in business if we're ever to see our Booster Gold in action again.
The bad news is that they sold all those books without so much as a mention of Booster Gold. With everything going so well (financially) right now at DC, we can't expect the company to feel any pressure to return Booster to action anytime soon.

This Day in History: Booster Gold Origins
Five years ago today, DC Comics released Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century #19. This is noteworthy to Booster Gold fans, as it included an inventive re-imagining of Booster Gold's origin (making him a time thief similar to Chronos).

The comic was based on the television show of a similar (but shorter) name in which Booster never appeared (although he was alluded to in the show's opening episode).
If you passed on this or any of Booster's other great appearances in the animated DC Universe Justice League Unlimited because they were out of continuity, consider tracking them down now at your Local Comic Shop or online. Old Booster Gold beats no Booster Gold any day of the week!
