Build It and They Will Come
Blue and Gold are turning up everywhere these days!
Another Booster Gold team-up cover from Ross Pearsall? Yes, please.
I'm sure that sentinels wouldn't be any trouble for our favorite sci-fi, tech-based Justice Leaguers. Besides not being mutants, either one of our heroes is clever enough to reprogram some silly evil robots. Unless they had somehow corrupted Skeets.... Nah, that'll never happen.
You'll find more creative cover pairings at his site, Super-Team Family ...The Lost Issues daily.

Gold Exchange: Booster Gold: Futures End #1
Believe it or not, the last time I ran a post about a new Russ Burlingame "Gold Exchange" column was July 12... 2013! Thankfully, Russ hasn't forgotten us Booster Gold fans. Russ put the hard questions about Booster Gold: Futures End #1 to Dan Jurgens earlier this week:
Burlingame: So, if you can say...how many Boosters are there in the DC Universe at the moment?
Jurgens: As far as I'm concerned there are two. The younger version from the New 52 and the older version from the pre-Flashpoint DC Universe.
That's pretty clear! Except, how did "our" Booster end up wearing New 52 A.R.G.U.S. armor? And which Booster was in All-Star Western? And what really happened at the end of Booster Gold #47? Okay, so maybe not as clear as I was hoping. Maybe Jurgens was a little more expansive when he spoke to Vaneta Rogers yesterday:
Rogers: Anything you can say about the next time we see Booster?
Jurgens: Unfortunately, I can't. But there's obviously more to come. It certainly safe to say that there are all sorts of elements in the Booster Gold: Futures End issue that hint at a lot of big stuff looming right around the corner.
Well, that only opens more questions. What does "right around the corner" mean? April? It took 2 years to touch on the events in JLI Annual, and none of that is remotely resolved yet. Not a great precedent.
I recommend that you read the rest of the interviews (Burlingame at ComicBook.com and Rogers at Newasarma.com) and draw your own conclusions.

It's What Makes Time Travel Possible
The people have spoken. It's good to have you back, Booster.
Last week's poll question: What's your initial response to Booster Gold: Futures End #1? (71 votes)
Earlier this week, Jesster had a suggestion for the poll:
Which time machine do you think is the most famous?
Well?

This Day in History: Booster Wax

It was 23 years ago today that DC released Justice League Europe #32. "What's significant about that," you ask? It's the only time we've ever seen a wax likeness of Booster Gold!
Most of you are probably familiar with Madame Tussauds, a worldwide chain of museums featuring life-like wax sculptures of celebrities like Micheal Jackson, Muhammad Ali, and, um, Thor. In the DCU, Madame Tussauds has a rival organization, Mme. Cloussau's.
In Justice League Europe #32, we are treated to a brief tour of the Paris branch of Mme. Cloussau's wax museum where we can glimpse the wax likenesses of Superman, Batman and Robin, Green Lantern, and, of course, Booster Gold.
It also happens that Mme. Cloussau's is where the Justice League stored the inert robot bodies of the other-worldy Extremists (because where else are you going to store villains responsible for the mass murder of millions?). When you visit Mme. Cloussau's, you get your money's worth!

Take Me Away, I Don't Mind
A few months back, a Booster Gold cosplayer sent me his pics with the Doctor's TARDIS. Another cosplayer has now contacted me with pics of her encounter with another, perhaps even more famous time machine.
This photo was taken at the Chicago ComicCon, where the Back to the Future DeLorean was promoting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. A worthy prop for a worthy cause!
What pop-fiction time machines are left for Booster cosplayers to conquer? H.G. Welles Time Sled? The Time Tunnel? Bill and Ted's Phone Booth? The Guardian of Forever? Get cracking, convention goers; there's a universe of time machines out there for Booster Gold to pose with!
