The Best Showcase for Booster Gold
Other than David, who suggested "Booster Gold Fans," no one else who voted "something else" told me what that something else might be. Were the rest of you just saying that you didn't care for the options I gave, but you didn't have any better suggestions?
Last week's poll question: What name do you prefer for Booster Gold fans? (49 votes)
Dancing with the Stars just ended its 18th American season, and that got me thinking....

New Release: Futures End #3
Each week, Futures End runs a preview tease for the next issue. Last week's tease sure made it look like Booster Gold would be in this week's Futures End. Turns out not so much.
That wasn't Booster Gold we saw last week but Grifter. The two look a lot alike when they're out of costume. I guess that's why Booster wears his goggles and never leaves home without his American Express card. You never want to be mistaken for a telepathic, alien-hunting terrorist.
So pick up Futures End #3 if you want to, but don't expect to see Booster Gold in there.

Dave Has a Good Geeky Idea
A Skeets desk lamp? I want this on my desk NOW:
Extra credit to Dave Delisle for thinking up such a fantastic idea for Skeets merchandise! You can find another pictures of the lamp — it collapses! — and many other great ideas on DavesGeekyIdeas.com.

They're Putting the Band Back Together
Friday, DC released the art teams for September's Futures End month of one-shots. Booster Gold: Futures End #1 will be looking pretty good.
BOOSTER GOLD: FUTURES END #1
Writer: Dan Jurgens
Artist: Moritat, Steve Lightle, Stephen Thompson, Mark Irwin, Ron Frenz, Brett Booth, Will Conrad
Cover: Dan Jurgens, Norm Rapmund
That's right, Dan Jurgens and Norm Rapmund are back together on the lenticular cover. DC has already started rolling out previews of the covers for the first two weeks of the event, so we should be seeing the week 4 Booster Gold cover sooner rather than later. September can't get here soon enough!
You can find a full list of creative teams for the Futures End one-shots at dccomics.com.

Who Was That Unmasked Man?
Each issue of Futures End includes a selection of panels teasing events in the next issue. Futures End #2 included an image of a character yet to appear in the story's first three issues. Who could this blond-haired, blue-eyed dreamboat be? Hmm?
MetalWoman suspects that this is Booster Gold. Sure looks like it to me. We'll find out for sure when Futures End #3 hits shelves this Wednesday.
For those of you who are not buying Futures End, MetalWoman has created a thread in the Boosterrific Forum to help keep track of Booster's appearances in the series for you. And if you want to read Futures End #0 but couldn't get a copy from your LCS on Free Comic Book Day, Comixology.com is offering a digital download of the book for free.
