I Learned It By Watching You
Bryan Q. Miller and Daniel HDR combine to give us the best Skeets story of 2013 so far in Smallville: Season 11 #43!
Seriously, those aren't even the best panels with Skeets in this issue, they're just the most spoiler-free!
If you aren't buying these issues digitally, do consider picking them up when they are collected at your Local Comic Shop next month. I think you'll be satisfied.

Where Do They Get Those Wonderful Toys?
Fire and Ice had cornered Lady Shiva beside the loading docks. With the rest of the Justice League International elsewhere hunting Deathstroke the Terminator, it was up to Bea and Tora to apprehend the most dangerous martial artist in the DC Universe. Two against one, and Shiva doesn't even have any metagene powers. It should be easy, right? Wrong.
Unbeknownst to our heroines, Lady Shiva was not alone. As Fire and Ice were discovering the truth behind Lady Shiva's hard-earned reputation, they were also being stalked by David Cain, another world-class assassin. Cain had Fire and Ice square in the sights of his sniper rifle. His finger tightened on the trigger, preparing to loose the bullet that would permanently snuff out Fire's green flame.
A streak of blue and gold unexpectedly sliced through the sky, a nigh-impenetrable force field intercepting the bullet's path! Blue Beetle and Booster Gold had arrived to save the day!
One well-aimed duo attack BB Gun and Booster Shot blast later, Lady Shiva was down for the count! Having felled Deathstroke single-handedly, Batman soon arrived out of the shadows to KO Cain. Assassins apprehended, the JLI could consider their latest adventure a rousing success!
The above adventure has never been published in a DC Comic. Nor was it an episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold or even a piece of Internet fan-fiction. No, that's a summary of a 300-point game of WizKids' Heroclix that I played this past weekend.
Justice League #001 Batman, 75 points
Brave and the Bold #052 Blue Beetle and Booster Gold, 82 points
Brave and the Bold #050 Fire and Ice, 131 points
Armor Piercing on Fire and Ice, 10 pointsVERSUS
Batman: Streets of Gotham #038 David Cain, 76 points
Batman: Streets of Gotham #040 Deathstroke, 147 points
Batman: Streets of Gotham #039 Lady Shiva, 67 points
Armor Piercing on David Cain, 10 points
The New 52 may have erased the classic JLI from existence, but so long as we don't forget our heroes, they'll always be having new adventures with us.

New Digital Release: Smallville: Season 11 #43
Has it been a week already? The second installment of "Argo" goes online at ComicXology.com today as Smallville: Season 11 #43. This story takes place outside of familiar DC Continuity, as the events of Smallville are considered to take place in their own pocket universe.
Both Boosterrific.com and ComiXology.com came online in July 2007. I did not foresee then that one day DC would be publishing weekly digital content that would be compiled monthly into a printed copy. At the time, all I had to work with were printed floppies, and I had no reason to give any consideration to how this site would handle weekly digital releases. But now here we are.
So long as DC is still compiling digital issues into print, I'm inclined to wait to update the Boosterrific database until the book is in my hand. I don't really see any reason to re-evaluate that policy until Booster Gold makes an in-continuity appearance in a weekly digital format. We'll see what happens as DC evolves its publishing model for the 21st century.

Shooting for Skeets
I haven't been watching SyFy since they cancelled Eureka. No Booster Gold isn't giving me much reason to change that pattern of behavior.
Last week's poll question: How do you respond to the lack of Booster Gold television news from SyFy this week? (52 votes)
Booster will be appearing in two different 3-part stories in the next 3 months, one within continuity and one without. We know that Skeets is in the non-continuity Smallville Season 11 issues, but there's no word yet on whether Skeets will be in the DCnU-continuity All-Star Western. If he does show up, will he be a behind-the-scenes assistant, or an active sidekick? If you had a say, what kind of Skeets would you hope to see in the DCnU?

Skeets Sure Plays a Mean Pinball
Have you bought a digital copy of Smallville: Season 11 #42 yet? If you're waiting for the collected edition, you're in for a bit of a surprise. Introducing Silver Skeets:
Emerald Eye of Ekron, meet the Silver Sphere of Skeets!
That's issue artist Daniel HDR's take on Smallville's Skeets. HDR was clearly inspired by the Skeets of Justice League Unlimited, although this Skeets looks like the Silver Surfer's beach ball.
Whether you like the look or not, just don't tell Skeets that the new shell makes it look fat. If you hurt Skeets' feelings, we won't ever get to see Booster's sidekick in the New 52!
