Pop Quiz, Hot Shot

In honor of Booster Gold's 30th anniversary, Erin of Exploring the Time Lab has compiled this insanely hard Booster Gold quiz. How many questions can you answer without digging through your long boxes?

  1. What was Daniel Carters' job and how good at it was he?

  2. Booster's twin, Michelle, never got a middle name like her brother, but she did get an initial. What was it?

  3. What age were twins Michael and Michelle Carter when their dad left them?

  4. Whose idea was it to set up a casino on KooeyKooeyKooey?

  5. When Max Lord returned from the dead why didn't he make Booster look bad like the rest of his teammates?

  6. When Rip Hunter was looking for superheroes to help him with his time travel project, Booster told him not to piss someone off. Who was it?

  7. Name three things that future policeman Broderick found strange/wasteful when he followed Booster Carter back in time.

  8. What was Dirk Davis' daughters' name?

  9. What did Superman think of Supernova?

  10. What did Batman do to let Booster know he did well against the Royal Flush gang?

I'll give you the answers when I get back from my vacation in two weeks. Enjoy! (Special thanks to Erin for letting me repost her quiz.)

Covering Convergence

According to PreviewsWorld.com, the website of the exclusive distributor of DC Comics in America, these are the two covers we should expect on Convergence: Booster Gold when it is released in April.

© DC Comics

The image on the left (Dan Jurgens/Danny Miki) is the standard cover and the image on the right is the 1:1 "Chip Kidd" variant using art by Jason Fabok from Justice League International Annual #1. (You can read more about Chip Kidd's utilization of "pre-existing" art for his covers at IGN.com.)

So if those are the covers to Booster Gold's first issue, what is this the cover to?

© DC Comics

That's the cover that accompanied Entertainment Weekly's December announcement of DC's Convergence plans. We now know it's not the cover to Convergence #1. Is it a cover to another issue in that series? Is it a cover for Convergence: Booster Gold #2? Has it been replaced? Is it interior art?

I guess we'll find out when we get closer to April, but in the meantime I'm already missing Skeets.

Remembering Black (and Gold) Tuesday

Eighty-four years ago today, the New York Stock Exchange experienced a then-record volume of transactions (16,410,030 shares traded). The aftermath of the market crash launched the world into the Great Depression.

The Secret History of Black Friday

While the Black Tuesday crash did mean the ruin of many a fortune, anyone who knew their history and had access to a time machine could make quite a few bucks by buying while the market was historically low. Does that sound like any Corporate Crusaders we know?

Everywhere but Comic Books

Back in June I told you to expect Booster Gold as a chess piece and as a deck-building game card. There was one other game I hesitated to mention because I was waiting for proof of Booster's inclusion. Turns out I just wasn't looking hard enough.

In this youtube demo from E3 by kNIGHTWING01, Booster's Nu52 costume is clearly included in the game. That means your avatar will be able to cosplay as Booster in the upcoming Scribblenauts Unmasked video game from 5th Cell. Hooray!

The game will be available on Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and Windows PCs on the 24th of this month. For more details, visit www.Scribblenauts.com. (Thanks to Erin of Exploring the Time Lab for finding that video).
