High Wire Buddy Act

Illustrator Dean Beattie revealed a recent commission on Twitter last week. See if you recognize these guys:

Blue and Gold commission by Dean Beattie @deanbeattie Twitter.com

Judging by that high collar, you can probably guess that this was commissioned by Cort. Kudos to both the artist and patron.

By the way, seeing Skeets here reminds me that Blue Beetle and Skeets have never spent much time together. It's kind of like Booster has two best friends that he keeps apart from each other. I assume he doesn't want them gossiping about him behind his back. It's okay; Skeets can be your friend, too, Ted.

Booster Gold Has a Big Head

Cort Carpenter might be my favorite person to get emails from because they are usually filled with new entries from his Booster Gold sketchbook like these:

Booster Gold by Dan McDaid for Cort Carpenter

Booster Gold by Joe Rubinstein for Cort Carpenter

Booster Gold by Dan Jurgens for Cort Carpenter
Dan Jurgens

That last piece by Jurgens is especially large at 12-inches by 18-inches. That's a life-sized portrait!

Keep up the good work, Cort. (To see more of his pieces, visit imgur.com.)

I'm Your Huckleberry

I've got a few things I want to say about Generations Forged, but I'm waiting until it's been out for at least a week so that I don't accidentally spoil anything for anyone. To a lesser extent, the same goes for Future State: Suicide Squad #2 too.

While we pass the time, let's all reminisce about that time Booster Gold travelled back to the Old West to match his fingergun draw speed against DC's Western hero, Nighthawk (and his partner, Cinnamon), an event immortalized in this old-timey long exposure photograph:

Doc Shaner commission by the Happy Sorceress via Twitter.com
It looks improvised, but Booster had to hold that pose for 20 seconds!

Okay, so that's not a hundred-year-old sepia-toned photo but a commission from the incomparable Doc Shaner for Booster art collector The Happy Sorceress, recently shared via Twitter.com.

Photo or drawing, I'm sure you agree that whatever it is, it's Boosterrific!

Art Stalker

It's been half a year since we last saw images from Susan's Booster Gold sketchbook, but that doesn't mean she hasn't been busy.

Susan has posted both of these beauties to her Twitter account in recent months:

Booster Gold commission by Jeremy Haun

I think they're both pretty darn Boosterrific.

Don't forget that you can see more of Susan's pieces in her Flickr.com account.
