Rock My World, Please
In Smallville: Season 11, Booster Gold acted like a heroic criminal. In All-Star Western, Booster Gold acted like a heroic imbecile. Neither was ideal for Booster fans, but at least Smallville had Skeets!
Last week's poll question: Were you more satisfied with Booster Gold's 3-issue appearance in All-Star Western or Smallville Season 11? (41 votes)
Summertime means Comic Con. Comic Con means big news. What are the chances that some of that big news will be about Booster Gold?
This week's poll question: Do you expect to hear big Booster Gold news out of Comic Con 2013?
[UPDATE 2013-07-21: This poll has been closed early to coincide with the end of Comic-Con International.]

Here Comes Comic Con International 2013
Booster Gold, SDCC 2006, by Rich [Earthdog @ flickr.com]
In press releases, DC has bragged that they will have "over 15 panels" at Comic Con International 2013, starting tomorrow in San Diego.
Comic Con International is the premiere comic book convention in America (if not the world!), and it seems like an opportune time for the company to unveil whether there is any truth to the rumor that Booster Gold will be getting another series sometime soon.
If you're going to the convention, have fun. If not, don't worry. I'll let you know if we hear any Boosterrific news this weekend.

Friends in High Places
It is convention season, and as usual some interesting news pops up from time to time at convention panels. Take for example Steve Sunu's coverage of DC's Batman panel at HeroesCon 2013 for Newsarama.com:
[Jimmy] Palmiotti revealed bringing Booster Gold into "All Star Western" actually came from Dan DiDio. "We just started laughing," Palmiotti recalled of his reaction to the idea. "Dan's suggestion was also to bring Jonah into Gotham. He's the biggest Jonah fan I know. When he gets his chance to put in his two cents, we let him.... There was a Jonah Hex series in the future that was silly way back when and I said I'd rather write him now. Jonah's seeing people on cellphones, thinking girls who aren't wearing much are all hookers. The great thing is -- the thing that people don't know about Dan -- I don't know someone who has a bigger comic collection than Dan DiDio. We all have long boxes, but with Dan, you can actually make a hallway and furniture out of it. He's been really good for us -- at a time when Jonah wasn't selling much, he's always come up with an idea to get us just a little bit more. We even deal with that with 'All Star Western' now."
So there you have it, the reason why Jonah Hex got to keep a low-selling series after Flashpoint is because DC Co-Publisher Dan DiDio is a big fan.
If we want Booster back in his own title, we need to get a Booster Gold mega-fan into a corporate office. Hey, wait a second! What have you done for Booster Gold lately, DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns?

Super Booster Gold Sketch from Phoenix Comicon
Finishing up this week of long-overdue professional fan art posts is this gem coming out of Phoenix Comicon last month. This one I intentionally held it until the end of this week in order to coincide with the annual Superman Celebration now underway in Metropolis, Illinois.
Jonah Hex is nice, but who could be a better team-up for Booster Gold and Skeets than Superman? Makes you look forward to what might be coming from DC for Booster Gold volume 3.
According to Norm Rapmund, who posted this image to his Twitter media gallery, this bit of art was something that he and Dan Jurgens did "for fun." Jurgens did pencil art that Rapmund finished with inks and Brian Miller (aka Hi-Fi Designs) provided color. What a super team!
You can find a larger, better version of this image (and a pre-colored b&w copy of the inks) at Twitter.com/NormRapmund.

Classic Booster Gold Commission
There has been so much Booster Gold news lately, I haven't had the space to post all the Booster Gold sketches that I've been collecting. I'll start correcting that with this post of from Dan Jurgens himself.
Shawn Baston, (whose name should be familiar to longtime Booster Gold fans and visitors to Boosterrific.com), commissioned this sketch from Dan Jurgens at Spring Con 2013 last month.
Thanks, Shawn, for sharing your new prized possession with us!
