ALTERNATE REALITY: After some of his wait staff are unable to work, Planet Krypton restaurant manager Booster Gold dons his old power suit to serve food to diners on Christmas Eve. The Planet Krypton restaurant of Earth-22 was first seen in Kingdom Come #1, 1996, where Booster Gold was named as manager but not seen. This is not to be confused with the Planet Krypton of Earth-1, first seen in The Kingdom: Planet Krypton #1, 1999 (although Booster Gold is also the restaurant's manager in this continuity).

Super hero memorabilia in the restaurant includes the hood of the original Starman (Ted Knight), a Starro spore, and mannequins of Captain Atom, Metamorpho, Black Canary, and Flash. Wait staff are dressed as Black Lightning, Ice, the original Red Tornado, Elongated Man, and Animal Man.

HIS STORY: Booster's not blowing smoke. He really did name Doomsday (in 1992's Justice League America #69)!

Page 4, panel 1
The night is crashed by a down-on-his-luck Maxwell Lord, who hopes to rob the place of all its super hero memorabilia. Seen behind Max are mannequins of Superman and Superboy and models of Wonder Woman's invisible jet and Superman's Krypton rocket.

Page 5, panel 3
Lord unintentionally destroys the case holding the costume of the female Dr. Fate (see Justice League America #31).

Page 6, panel 1
Waiters defend the restaurant from Lord with a variety of weapons, including Wonder Woman's lasso, Harley Quinn's hammer, Booster Gold's Booster Shots, Aquaman's trident, Booster Gold's Legion of Super Heroes Flight Ring, and Batman's batarangs.

Page 6, panel 3
The ensuing melee destroyed is the case holding Ted Kord's Blue Beetle mask and B.B. Gun, a Rocket Red helmet, and Martian Manhunter's favorite Chocos cookies.

Page 7, panel 1
In the aftermath of the fight, we see mannequins of Robin (Tim Drake) and Power Girl. Most costumes represent what the heroes wore in the late 80s/early 90s preceding the publication of the original Kingdom Come mini-series.

Page 8, panel 2
The poster on the wall behind Booster is the cover to Booster Gold #25, meaning that at least on Earth-22, Booster Gold can read his own adventures!

Boosterrific Review: Even in the Kingdom Come timeline (Earth-22), Booster Gold manages to be a secret super hero. Merry Christmas!
