As Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, and other Justice Leaguers look on inside the Justice League Unlimited Watchtower, Booster Gold stands alongside the World Forger, Time Trapper, and Gorilla Grodd, collectively identified as the Quantum Quorum. World Forger rescued Time Trapper from Hypertime in Justice League Unlimited #8, and they recruited Grodd, who had previously been corrupted by Omega Energy, in the following issue which has a cover blurb identifying the trip as The Quantum Quorum. But they didn't openly call themselves that then, and they didn't call themselves that when Booster Gold joined their ranks in Justice League: The Omega Act Special #1. The members of The Quantum Quorum have never called themselves that until...

POWER UP: ...this panel. Time Trapper claims that the group used their combined chronal powers to "rewind time by seven days." How is that any different than traveling one week back in time? The more pressing question may be who other than Time Trapper has chronal powers? The World Forger is a cosmic being who exists outside of the universe as the inhabitants of Earth-) understand it, but Grodd's time travel abilities came only thanks to having temporarily absorbed Martian Manhunter's psychic powers, now lost to him. Maybe Trapper is talking about using Booster Gold as a chronal battery; although Booster has never been able to time travel himself without mechanical assistance, he was recently revealed to contain enough chronal energy to power the time travel of the entire Dark Legion of Super-Heroes.

The true power of the Quantum Quorum is revealed: they have watched the Justice League fight Darkseid "a thousand times and always lose." Presumably they altered events each time, but this still suggests that even the future can be Solidified Time as originally explained by Time Master Rip Hunter in Booster Gold Volume 2 #5. For more information about the different ways time travel has been presented in the DCU adventures of Booster Gold, see the Boosterrific! Time Travel Theory page.

Like Hal Jordan two pages earlier, Batman speaks of Booster as though he remembers him. Unless the Quantum Quorum has rewound time more than seven days, no one should have no memory of Booster Gold. Everyone forgot Booster ever existed in DC All In Special #1.
Page 13, panel 6
Booster's speech balloons waffle between uneven and smooth. Especially in light of events later in this issue, this may seem a clue to Booster's state of mind, but the same balloon style can be seen elsewhere used for Superman, Flash, and Time Trapper.

First of all, In Superman #29, Booster Gold was very clear that he had never been to the Absolute Universe, and yet here he says otherwise. Also in Superman #29, Booster Gold was certain that Darkseid could not be beaten. However, in Justice League: The Omega Act Special #1, he was certain that the Justice League always wins. Now he reveals that maybe Darkseid can only be beaten by Darkseid. Booster's been through a lot of trauma recently, but he's starting to sound a bit unstable.

POWER UP: Booster Gold is strapped to the underside of the Justice League's Javelin spacecraft as it leads the attack on the Heart of Apokolips growing at the center of the Earth. The device connected to Booster's chest (built by Mister Terrific?) directs the Omega Energy his body absorbed in DC All In Special at the Heart, following Time Trappers instructions to reset its connection with Darkseid. So all of his recent trials have positioned Booster Gold to help save the day!...

SPOILER WARNING!: Reveal
Boosterrific Review: A whole event story built on the premise that heroes must surrender their ethical beliefs and kill one another in order to "save" the entire universe. What about this issue is supposed to make me want to read more? And at this point, kicking Booster Gold while he's down has become a cliche. Two stars for high production values.
Boosterrific Rating: Tarnished.
