ALTERNATE REALITY: Booster Gold and Ted Kord are riding out the zombie apocalypse in the relative safety of Kord Industries when Big Barda, Mister Miracle, and Mister Terrific come looking for their help. (The events of this series appear to take place in a universe where Booster Gold does not work with Rip Hunter.)
Page 22, panel 3
After Mister Terrific's first few plans to save humanity fail, he turns to his desperate "third option": time-traveler Booster Gold.
Page 24, panel 1
Booster had left his stolen time machine with Fire and Ice for safe-keeping. Unfortunately, they have already fallen victim to the zombie plague.
Page 28, panel 1
Waverider is waiting for Booster and Beetle at the Time Sphere with bad news. He intends to arrest Booster for stealing the Time Sphere. It's not clear why Waverider, a Linear Man with access to all time and space, would wait until that moment to confront Booster for crimes against time when he could have done it earlier.

BORROWING THE CAR: Because of Waverider's intervention, historical events have deviated so far from "normal" that Booster Gold's future history has been erased and he suddenly ceases to exist. This creates a paradox. If the zombie apocalypse had happened before Booster traveled back in time, then Booster should not be allowed to affect it. Only if the zombie apocalypse had never happened would Booster be able to exist in his own past. Therefore, Waverider should have assisted Booster, not discouraged him.
