Page 14, panel 3
"Week 50, Day 4." As the Doom Patrol (Bumblebee, Elasti-Girl, Mento, Negative Man, Robotman II, and Vox III) battles Black Adam at the base of the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Pisa, Italy, Booster Gold appears briefly in the sky. Booster is clearly fighting something unseen, firing both of his wrist-mounted Booster Shots back into the tear in time through which he arrived. Realizing that he has arrived "too soon," he is gone by the next panel. How Booster managed to travel through time and how he could have arrived at a time that he wasn't prepared for is unrevealed, though Rip Hunter's technology no doubt played a role.

REVIEWS

Boosterrific Review: World War III is a mini-series designed to answer all of the lingering questions about the one year gap in the history of the DC Universe that were squeezed out of the story in 52. As a result, World War III is not a cohesive story insomuch as it is a series of vignettes featuring DC characters, both familiar and obscure, explaining their activities during the missing year. In fact the primary story, the DC Universe versus Black Adam, is told well enough in the pages of the 52 as to make that story redundant here in its own mini-series. Therefore World War III may be a necessary read for those interested in the activities of their favorite characters who were not featured in 52 or completists who seek every appearance of a character (*cough* such as Booster Gold), but is certainly an unnecessary experience for the casual reader or an audience more interested in compelling stories than mere bookkeeping. While 52 should be considered essential reading, this mini-series should be avoided by all but the most hard core collectors.
