Brief Synopsis: The heroes who escaped Amanda Waller's army of Amazos make a stand in Superman's Fortress of Solitude.
Booster Gold's role in this story:
Cameo (Booster Gold makes a minor appearance)
Costume Worn: MARK I.v2 power-suit
Page 2, panel 2
Booster Gold is seen on a monitor in the former Hall of Justice (now the "Hall of Order") displaying the superheroes who have not yet been captured by Amanda Waller.
Page 8, panel 3
Some of the "free" heroes seen on Waller's monitor, including Booster Gold, have retreated to Superman's Fortress of Solitude to plan their counterattack. Other heroes depicted as present in the same location (though not necessarily sharing a panel with Booster) are Air Wave, Aquaman, Atom Smasher, Batgirl (Cassandra Caine), Batman, Beast Boy, Black Canary, Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), Doctor Mid-Nite, Donna Troy, Dyna-Mite, Flash (Wally West), Mister Terrific, Nightwing, Plastic Man, Raven, Robin (Damien Wayne), Sin Lance, Starfire, Superman, The Boom, Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark), Wonder Girl (Yara Flor), Wonder Woman, Zatanna, and Zealot.
Page 11, panel 1
Brianiac Queen and Superman Jon Kent force their way inside the Fortress of Solitude and attack the assembled heroes. The villains are soon joined by several Amazos and Dreamer, and the fight will continue for the rest of this issue. However, Booster Gold is nowhere to be seen after page 8, so it is unclear whether he is a casualty of the assault or has used time travel or some other means to escape the ambush.
Boosterrific Review: There are a couple of clever ideas and good speeches here, but they're mostly incidental to Mark Waid's story that is essentially one long slugfest. And although Dan Mora's individual panels look great, it's very hard to follow the action from panel to panel. Meh.
Boosterrific Rating: Gold Standard.
