This panel is a retelling of the meeting between Power Girl and Booster Gold in the skies of Moscow from Justice League: Generation Lost #1 from the the point of view of Power Girl. Seeing the encounter from the point of view of Power Girl is illuminating and justifies her previously seen brusqueness to Booster Gold. This was probably an easy scene for writer Judd Winick, who is scripting both books.

ISSUE REVIEW

Boosterrific Review: Judd Winick scribes an enjoyable slice-of-life tale, even for strangers to Power Girl, that finds a way to expand on the events of Justice League: Generation Lost without requiring a read of that title first. Meanwhile, Sami Basri's fusion-influenced art is heavily digitally retouched, differentiating it from more traditional super heroic styles without being entirely unpalatable. Together, they create a surprisingly accessible book for newcomers who will probably enjoy what they find here.

I really enjoy the Power Girl series, in some ways moreso now that it's focusing on some more serious events. Having said that, it's nice to get a spot of Booster in my Power Girl comic. Also, I believe Booster and Power Girl are married and PG is Rip's father. We've never seen Rip show any kryptonian powers or even half-powers, but the man CAN fight, and wouldn't he try and keep those a secret anyway so no one could figure it out? :P

I didn't know that Karen and Booster are actually friends. I thought she was closer to Ted, basing on ICBINTJL. But it's nice to have the two DC characters I'm following involved in the same storyline. It will take me time to get used to Sami Basri's dainty style and Sunny Gho's translucent colors after Amanda Conner and Paul Mounts, and Pee-Gee's adventures are no longer her own in her titular book, but I'll definitely follow the new Power Girl team.

A fun issue and one that might play a role in the future of the Justice League Generation Lost series.
