--Boosterrific Blog! Seriously, the blog insert script is now rewritten and fully functional. (All my other scripts are still broken, but I figured everyone would appreciate it if I started with the important one.) New posts resume, well, today.

The good news is that the scripts have been updated on the public side of Boosterrific.com. I think that everything is working again now. (I trust you'll let me know at webmaster at Boosterrific.com if I'm wrong.)

The bad news is that the back-end scripts are really, really broken. They had been cobbled together piecemeal over time, and sorting out that knot of tangled strings has proven really frustrating. So I decided late last night that I'll be rebuilding them from scratch.

I warn that site updates may be few and far between until I solve these problems. I hope that you will be patient with me in the meantime.

Yes, we're running the poll a day early today so that everyone can enjoy their Thanksgiving turkey and football tomorrow. And because of the ongoing maintenance here at Boosterrific.com, there will be no new poll this week. Polling will resume next week, assuming everything gets working again. A brief word of warning: there's a much needed script upgrade going on behind the scenes here at Boosterrific.com this Thanksgiving holiday week, and it may result in some odd behavior. In fact, things just might stop working altogether.

The Boosterrific Forum will be closed until further notice to conserve bandwidth. I'm having problems with leeching from spambots that I will have to solve before it costs me any more money. I'm hoping that since no one has posted in the Forum for over 2 weeks and no Booster Gold comics are being published anymore, this shutdown won't pose too much of a problem for anyone.

For those of you who don't know how the internet works, this website is allotted a fixed data transfer amount per month. This is measured by the amount of data sent between the web server and the computer you are reading this on. Right now, I'm throwing away bandwidth to automated spam scripts that aren't using my data in any positive way. Since the host of Boosterrific.com is monitoring and charging me for that bandwidth usage, I have to find a way to stop or reduce the waste. The Forum will remain shut down until I code an effective solution for the problem (timetable unknown). Sorry.
