In for the Long Haul
It looks like even John Constantine is getting a television show before Booster Gold does.
As you have probably heard by now, The Flash television show will be on The CW this fall. A trailer for the show hit the web last week, and it got people talking. Even people who aren't familiar with Barry Allen. People like M.L. Brumage of LetUsNerd.com:
I'm sure comic book fans could spend hours telling me how great he is (I haven't read many Flash comics) and I can't say I'd disagree with them, because this trailer looks pretty good. And, if they bring Booster Gold into it (which there are zero rumors to back up this hope) I'm in for the long haul.
Someone who doesn't know the Flash but does know Booster Gold? There is hope for this rotten world yet. If Booster appears on The Flash, I'm in too.
You can see the whole trailer at LetUsNerd.com.
(Reminder: no post for Memorial Day on Monday. Back on Tuesday.)

What's the Worst That Could Happen?
A brief word of warning: there's a much needed script upgrade going on behind the scenes here at Boosterrific.com this Thanksgiving holiday week, and it may result in some odd behavior. In fact, things just might stop working altogether.
Panel from Flash Annual #3. (No Booster Gold appearance.)
So if you find something wrong, don't panic. And if it doesn't get better after a time, drop a line to webmaster at Boosterrific.com, and I'll look into it. Thank you in advance for your patience.

We'll Always Have Our Heroes
No Booster Gold this September? Big deal. Before we go whining that we Booster Gold fans have it bad, let's stop to commiserate with fans of another character who have had it worse. Specifically, fans of Barry Allen, the Silver Age Flash.
Allen's first appearance marks the dawn of the Silver Age. Without Barry Allen and his interaction with the heroes of yesteryear, DC's continuity would be nothing outside of Barman/Superman crossovers. After two-and-a-half decades of entertaining stories, he was sacrificed to the gods of comic book mega-crossovers, rarely to be seen for another two-and-a-half decades. May Booster Gold never share that fate!
Booster Gold didn't debut in the DCU until nearly four months after Barry Allen sacrificed himself in Crisis on Infinite Earths #8. The two characters wouldn't cross paths for nearly 22 years in the pages of Booster Gold Volume 2, #3, and even that was an accident!
In celebration of its fourth anniversary, SpeedForce.org is currently asking Flash fans to share their favorite Flash moments. Site visitors will be able to vote on their favorite memories, and winners will receive Flash-related prizes. Submissions are open through tomorrow night, so if you've got a story to share, act fast!

Professor Zoom Lives!
No Booster books this week from DC, but if you are visiting your Local Comic Shop, consider looking into The Flash #8. Written by Geoff Johns, the book has been advertised as a prelude to "Flashpoint," and will give the modern-age backstory for Professor Zoom. As you may recall, Booster Gold is staring Professor Zoom in the cliffhanger ending to Time Masters: Vanishing Point #5, a miniseries acting as a narrative bridge between "The Return of Bruce Wayne" and "Flashpoint." This book just might hint at the near future for Booster Gold.

Booster Gold and The Jiminy Conjecture
Last night, CBS aired a rerun of The Big Bang Theory episode in which Sheldon loses his copy of Flash, Volume 1, #123, ("The Flash of Two Worlds") in a bet. What does this have to do with Booster Gold, you ask? Other than the obvious gambling angle and Booster's involvement in ensuring the creation of the Silver Age Flash (in both Booster Gold, Vol. 2, #4 and #17), Geoff Johns has hinted that Booster will be playing a further role in policing the Flash's history. With Johns' proclivity for re-investigating Silver Age stories, don't be surprised if Booster, guardian of the modern 52-verse, eventually finds his way into the mix of this issue, the grandfather of all DC Multiverse stories.
