Justice League 3000 Blue and Gold Concepts
Last week on Twitter, Bats-Marvelous drew our attention to this unused concept sketch from Howard Porter for the Booster Gold and Blue Beetle in Justice League 3000:
Booster may be missing his trademark star, but otherwise, it looks pretty good to me. I especially like the hood, which simultaneously plays with Booster's public profile (what celebrity doesn't try to hide from the press in a hoodie?) and simulates the high collar. Clever, @MrHowardPorter. Clever.

Ghosts of Costumes Past
I'm going to assume that those of you who voted "no preference" did so because you love Booster Gold in anything he wears.
Last week's poll question: Do you prefer Booster Gold's costume with or without the high collar? (69 votes)
For the record, Booster has appeared more often with a collar than without, an impressive feat considering that his first non-metallic collar-less costume appeared in 1997 (though that costume with its asymmetrical star placement was not the one most of you thought of when I asked you to vote).
The gap is still so large that it would take a collarless Booster Gold (New 52 costume or otherwise) about three years of continuous monthly appearances to make up the difference.
I'm not excited that DC seems determined to not publish Booster Gold comics, but at least so long as they do, the high collar will continue to reign supreme.

Restrooms Restrooms
DC Comics fans are so loyal, they continue to cosplay as characters whose comics have been canceled. To prove it, here's a photo shared with us by Booster booster Bob from Motor City Comic Con 2016:

Those poor super heroes. That looks like quite the mob scene in front of the restrooms. It must take forever to get in and out of that spandex when nature calls.
Thanks for sharing, Bob!

Freedom of Speech
In Wednesday's comments, Michael said he was not a fan of Booster Gold's classic high collar. That's the great thing about America: we're all entitled to our opinions, even when they're wrong.
But maybe you agree with Michael and think that I'm the nutcase. It's been a long time since I gave you a poll, so let's put this to a vote using the slightly improved Boosterrific poll system!
This week's poll question: Do you prefer Booster Gold's costume with or without the high collar? Please visit the Boosterrific Polls page to view results for this week's poll.

I Like Watching Paint Dry
Loyal Booster booster Morgenstern worried that Kay Pike's video of her body-painted Booster Gold "costume" might be too risque for the Boosterrific blog. (As a general rule, I do try to keep things PG rated around here.) Therefore, I'm just going to give you a SFW screenshot:
Isn't that amazing? Without a doubt, it's without a doubt the best Booster Gold cosplay I've seen this year.
Assuming the sight of body-painted women doesn't offend you, I strongly encourage you to click on the image above to visit Kay's Instagram page to see a short video of the costume in motion. It really is very skillfully painted. Kudos to Kay.
