New Release: All-Star Western #20
Last time we saw Booster Gold, he was hungover and being laughed at by Jonah Hex. It's a pretty sure bet that things are going to get worse for our hero in today's All-Star Western #20.
You can find a preview of the (very gory) issue online at nerdist.com.
Buy this issue and make Skeets happy, pardner.

Skeets, Helpful as Always
Scott Kowalchuk is the artist of The Strangers from Oni Press. The first issue of The Strangers — which postmodernbarney.com recommends as "a loving tribute to 60s TV sci-fi. Half Avengers, half Doctor Who, all weird and go-go boots" — was released FOR FREE on Free Comic Book Day.
In the midst of all the hoopla surrounding the launch of The Strangers, Kowalchuk took time to sketch Booster Gold for a commission at a recent comic book convention.
You can see a larger copy of the sketch at Scott's Snazzy Sketchblog. Thanks to Scott for sharing (and good luck with The Strangers)!

I WANT TO BELIEVE
Charles Skaggs, writer of many things including a handful of DC comics, has speculated on his "DAMN Good Coffee... and HOT!" blog that there will soon be a third volume of Booster Gold comics drawn by Kevin Maguire.
Like all good conspiracy theorists, Skaggs draws this conclusion from a variety of sources, none of which alone quite indicates anything of the sort. It wouldn't be the first bit of wishful thinking from Booster Gold fans on the subject.
I'm inclined to be skeptical, but who would have ever heard of Booster Gold if he had let facts get in the way of a good story? This is the Internet Age; facts are no longer necessary for drawing conclusions!
Obviously Skaggs' is on to something here. After all, with a connection to DC Comics, he might be in a position to know more than he's letting on! To be safe, fans should start saving now for Booster Gold Volume 3, coming soon to a comic shop near you!
(If you're more of an Agent Scully-type than an Agent Mulder, you can read Skaggs' original research on his blog at charlesskaggs.blogspot.com.)

Better Late Than Never
Whoops! I've been sick this week, and completely forgot yesterday's poll post here in the blog. I'll fix that now.
It would figure that the Boosterrific fans would prefer continuity. Without continuity, there would be no Blue and Gold, no Booster Gold Volume 2, and no Extreme Jsutice. (You have to take the good with the bad.)
Last week's poll question: ( votes)
So the Booster Gold television project might not be dead, but it also doesn't seem to be on SyFy's radar, either. That might not be such a bad thing. Different networks have different business strategies, target audiences, and aesthetics. Is Booster Gold a better fit somewhere other than SyFy?

Whatever you think about Doctor Who (who turns 50 this year and has indubitably earned his position as the International King of the Time Travelers), the star of this video is the Booster Gold costume!
That star... that cape... that's Booster Gold's original costume! Aaron Wahl, you are Boosterrific!
Thanks to Double Midnight Comics for hosting such a cool Free Comic Book Day and NerdCaliber.com for hosting such a cool video via YouTube.
