Updating our list of long Booster Gold absences, today marks the 212th day since Booster Gold was last seen in a DCnU comic book. That means the current run has broken into the top 4!

1. 336 days between Superman #124 and Chase #4 (Apr. 1997 to Mar. 1998)
2. 302 days between Martian Manhunter #24 and JLA: Our Worlds At War (Sept. 2000 to July 2001)
3. 238 days between Stormwatch #12 and All-Star Western #19 (Aug. 2012 to Apr. 2013)
4. 212 days between All Star Western #21 and now (June 2013 to present)

It's been a long, long time since we last saw Ted Kord — well over 1,100 days by my count — but as we've heard, he'll be coming back in April. Maybe he'll bring our Booster back with him.

By now you've no doubt heard that Ted Kord is coming to the DCnU in Future's End #7 (as Vaneta Rogers reported at Newsarama.com last week). If Ted Kord is coming, could Booster Gold be far behind?

Today, DC Comics is releasing a comic that has nothing to do with Booster Gold. That's nothing new. However, today DC is giving you something else that is almost as awesome.

If you haven't ever read Planetary, now's your chance. The Planetary Omnibus hits stores today, and collects the entire series and its 3 crossover issues with Batman, the JLA, and the Authority. The book has a cover price of $75.00. That might sound expensive, but its totally worth it.

If you can't tell, I'm a big fan of the series. I've spent so much time complaining around here lately, it's nice to have a chance to promote something that I like. I think you'll like it, too.
