This Day in History: Murder Most Foul
My how time flies. The first issue of Identity Crisis, the event series that brutally raped and murdered one Justice Leaguer as a cheap excuse to get the rest of the "Satellite Era" Leaguers to fight amongst themselves and destroy years of friendship and camaraderie, was published eleven years ago today.
Thankfully, Booster Gold had almost nothing to do with the series, but our hero did have the good manners to accompany pal Blue Beetle to Sue Dibny's funeral.
Identity Crisis would set the tone of the DCU for years to come. This story drove Batman to create Brother Eye, who played a critical role in the death of Blue Beetle, and I'd be perfectly happy to pretend it was never published.
We still miss you, Sue.

Only Thirty Dollars an Issue
Last week in his interview with Vaneta Rogers for Newsarama.com, Dan Jurgens said
Tell DC Co-Publisher Dan DiDio you'll buy 10 copies each of every issue and that all your friends will do the same and you'll have a Booster Gold series in no time.
DC Comics has been as good as their word since promising to "Hold the Line at $2.99" in 2011. Therefore, you could expect to grab 10 copies of a new Booster Gold comic for $30 (plus tax). Maybe less, if your Local Comic Shop offers subscriber discounts, as many do. I know a lot of people who spend much more than that on comics every week!
So to make it easy for you to send the word to Dan DiDio that Booster Gold fans are willing to celebrate the Capitalist system for which Booster Gold stands, I've made this handy postcard:
Just download the PDF, print it out, sign your name, affix a stamp, drop it in the mail, and start a savings account for the day when Dan DiDio takes us up on our offer!

Time-Traveling Tyrannosaur
The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois prides itself on owning "largest, best-preserved, and most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex ever found." That dinosaur, nicknamed "Sue," was found 24 years ago today.
Sue is special not only because of her bones. She also has a a unique modern history that includes Native Americans, land fraud, and FBI raids. It sure sounds like they could have used a super hero at that dig!
Some say dinosaurs died off because they couldn't adapt fast enough to changing climate conditions, but not Sue! She's adapting to the digital age just fine. Sue's featured in a documentary about her modern trials, Dinosaur 13 (which is due for release later this week), and like all reality stars, she has a big presence on social media. You can find her on Twitter as @SUEtheTrex.
That's not too bad for someone who's been dead for 67 million years. Someone get this dino an agent!

Every Issue Is Special to Somebody
I invite you to read Brad's recap of Booster Gold's career, both in comics and on television, at NeedToConsume.com.
His love letter to the World's Greatest Hero has its inaccuracies, but you have to admire his passion, especially when he admits that his first super hero comic was Booster Gold, Volume 2, #27. You never forget your first time!
