Brief Synopsis: While Blue Beetle seeks help from the Department of Extranormal Operations, Booster Gold opens negotiations with Superfail.

Issue Summary: Blue Beetle has been captured and is being held for testing by the Department of Extranormal Operations. In flashback, it is revealed that Beetle had visited the D.E.O. of his own free will in search of advice.

Meanwhile, unaware of their son's activities, Beetle's father reaches out to his mother for help.

A chance encounter with a D.E.O. prisoner and former Beetle opponent tips-off the D.E.O. that Beetle may be an agent of the alien Reach planning an invasion of Earth. After capturing and torturing Beetle in hopes of uncovering the truth, Director Bones offers Beetle an olive branch in exchange for information. Angered by Bones' strategy, Beetle breaks free and leaves.

Later, Booster Gold enters the Superfail offices, though his motivation for working with the group remains a mystery. Reveal Potential Spoilers

MEET THE PRESS: Booster Gold walks into the Brooklyn, New York offices of Superfail.com unannounced, interrupting founder and operator Thaddeus Miller's discussion with his staff about the public's reaction to a recent viral video featuring Blue Beetle III. Miller and Superfail.com are loosely modeled on Harvey Levin and his celebrity news organization, TMZ. This cameo is Booster Gold's only appearance in this issue.
