Picking up where the last issue left off, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Ice, Captain Atom, and Skeets are fighting a small army of OMAC units outside of the Reyes family residence in El Paso, Texas.

At last Booster reveals his familiarity with the newest Blue Beetle to his fellow Leaguers. Booster was in fact directly responsible for introducing Jaime Reyes to super heroics (as seen in Infinite Crisis #4).

Beetle must be a math prodigy. It is unlikely that the average high school student could divide 6209.1225 by 365 in his head while maintaining concentration enough to repel an army of hostile cyborgs.

POWER UP: Booster uses his force field to entrap his own teammates and force them to join him in the teleportation field. This is an unusual but logical use of Booster's force field.

The Justice League International has been teleported to St. Petersburg, Russia. This is a distance of over 4930 Nautical Miles, nearly a quarter of the way around the Earth's surface. While this is not quite halfway to "the other side of the world," it is a very great distance, indeed.

Captain Atom is not exaggerating. Before its dissolution, the Justice League International had included nearly 40 different heroes. (And that's not counting support personnel or the membership of the Justice League Antarctica or other temporary members such as Lobo!)
Boosterrific Review: This is the best issue of the series yet as Winick finally gets a feel for the characters, their history and relationships. It is both fun and fast-paced. This issue makes it easy to look forward to more.

For whatever reason, I'm not a big fan of the Omac villains, so I was a bit annoyed when they showed up. However, I did like how they included Jaime into the group, in particular the fact that while Jaime DOESN'T remember Max, the scarab does, and thus Jaime believes the JLIers.
A solid issue. While I like the fast pace, I do not see the story progressing. While better than the last issue, I do not know how this is going to go for 23 more issues. I think Max needs more screen time.
The series is still going through set up, but this was a much better, even a good issue. The pacing has improved. Booster characterization is better (some of the other characters are still a bit bland, but with 23 issues to go, I would expect better is to come). We are getting a new underdog JLI, who will hit rock bottom and then we can root for them to pull one out. Sign me up!
Although we've seen Max mess with Captain Atoms' head I thought it was interesting to learn something about Beas' mother. If true it shows that Max really is a master of twisting the knife. It's also telling that she seemed to take "Max" more personally than Cap by outright trying to kill him. It'll be interesting to see how the others react and how Max approaches them from here.
Booster is definitely team leader now! This is better than the last issue, but it could have done with that episode with Fire in Checkmate's headquarters, that is too much like a rehash of Captain Atom's display in the previous issue.
