Year in Review 2016: Number 1

Surprise, surprise. The most visited post in 2016 was one of Boosterrific.com's few polls on the year. This one originally ran the week of June 10, when I asked you "How satisfied are you with Rebirth so far?"

How satisfied are you with Rebirth so far? (results)

I had cut back on polls in 2016 because I felt they weren't generating much interest. Well, this one sure did. There have been polls with more voters, but few have gathered so many views.

Since we're on the subject, I might as well follow up. When last I asked, Rebirth was only 3 weeks old. Has your opinion changed in the past seven months? We'll take a look at your response next year!

This week's poll question: More than six months in, how satisfied are you with Rebirth overall? Please visit the Boosterrific Polls page to view results for this week's poll.

Year in Review 2016: Number 2

Coming in second on our year-end hit parade was the Boosterrific.com post on May 13 confirming that the long rumored Booster Gold movie finally had a writer.

Said Greg Berlanti (to the Hollywood Reporter):

I'm attached to a few films [at Warner Bros.] now, and one, Booster Gold, is a DC property. Zack Stentz, who wrote an episode of Flash last year, just got the job, so he's writing the script now. I'd probably direct that, or I would want to.

We haven't heard much since, but that's how the movie business works. We'll keep watching and waiting.

The countdown wraps up on Friday with the most visited post of the year.

Year in Review 2016: Number 3

Each December I look back at the year that was and find the Boosterrific.com posts that garnered the most attention.

Number three on this year's countdown of most popular posts was this fine piece of (unlicensed) apparel I showed you in September:

Booster Gold hoodie by Coyote Pop Clothing

As you can see, it's a good looking design. But the best part is hiding inside.

Say hello to my little friend:

Booster Gold hoodie by Coyote Pop Clothing, now with more Skeets!

It's Skeets! Without a doubt, this hoodie is the very definition of Boosterrific!

We'll continue the countdown on Wednesday.

Number One Bromance in Comics

I've been trying to get to posting this for about two weeks, but I didn't figure there was any hurry. Everyone already knows who the biggest bromance in comics is, right? Joe Mortimer sure does.

Although the bromances on this list aren't really in any kind of order, Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) and Booster Gold (Michael Jon Carter) definitely rank No. 1. This is like the original superhero bromance. Meeting as members of the Justice League International, the pair of C-List superheroes become instant best friends. Their misadventures include becoming superhero repo men, opening a casino/resort called Club JLI on the living island of Kooey Kooey Kooey, and stealing Martian Manhunter's cookies.

You can read the whole list of Mortimer's best comic book bromances at TheFreshToast.com.
