New 52 Skeets Looks Like Batman
I usually save previews for Wednesdays, but I thought since we've been in a bit of a Booster Gold drought since Convergence, I'd go ahead and post a link to Uproxx.com's preview of this week's Bat-Mite #4.
I'm sure it's not my imagination that Skeets is starting to look like a golden, robotic Batman. Though, to be fair, this is a "Batman Family" title. Loosely.
Bat-Mite #4 will be released this Wednesday.

Booster Gold Comic Coming in 2016
On Wednesday, Rich Johnston of BleedingCool.com reported that DC Comics is "open for pitches and proposals" for a new Booster Gold title that may be coming in 2016.
Make of this what you will. It has always been my impression that DC is "open for pitches and proposals" for most of their characters most of the time. But I do want a new Booster Gold comic. Here's hoping.

Knee-Jerk Reactions
If Booster Gold is really the comic book equivalent of Kim Kardashian, he must be rich. (Forbes.com estimates she earned $52 million last year alone!)
Last week's poll question: Should New 52 Booster Gold return to the wealthy Corporate Crusader persona of Volume 1? (31 votes)
This week we learned that Nathan Fillion would want to play Booster Gold in a DC movie, it seems only fair to decide whether we would want him to.

New Release: Justice League 3001 #3
Justice League 3001 #3 is in your Local Comic Shop today. This is the one that series writer J.M. DeMatteis promised on Twitter finally had Booster Gold and Blue Beetle in it. (They haven't been seen since before Justice League 3000 was canceled and restarted following Convergence.)
The preview for today's issue is available online at blastr.com. I don't see Booster and Beetle in it, but I'm sure that DeMatteis wasn't lying to us.
Buy this issue and make Skeets happy.

In It for the Money
It was on this day in 1875 that Captain Matthew Webb became the first person recorded to successfully swim the English Channel unaided.
Webb's feat was a carefully crafted bit of public showmanship. That the crossing had never been done and was thought impossible fueled the public's interest. The accomplishment made Webb famous and rich.
Hmm. Bold athletic achievements motivated by gambling? Instant and eternal fame? It sounds like this is just the sort of event that would inspire a certain time-traveling tourist we know.
