True Hollywood Story: Maxwell Lord
A lot of fans have had a problem with Maxwell Lord becoming a major villain in the DCU. Some say the transition was logical and evident in his original characterization. Others say that the metamorphosis was artificial and poorly executed. Whichever side of the fence you are on, you'll find something valuable in the multi-part post from The Captain's Unofficial Justice League Homepage blog (part 1 starts here). It's thorough, insightful, and informative, even for fans who think they remember the entire JLI run.

Benefits of Pet Ownership
Americans love dogs. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, dogs are the most popular pet in America. More households have dogs than cats. (However, there are more cats in American households than dogs, proving that "Crazy Cat Lady" isn't a stereotype, it's a statistical fact.)
It's no coincidence that in DC comics books, the big name heroes have dogs. Both Batman and Superman have dogs. Meanwhile, the women, like Supergirl and Powergirl, have cats. It is pretty clear that if Booster Gold is to step up into the big leagues, he'll need to trade in Jack and Jill (his pair of house cats) for some sort of dog.
What sort of dog best suits Booster Gold? A flashy German Shepherd? An energetic Jack Russell? A powerful Great Dane? The ever-popular mutt? Whatever the case, get to your local animal shelter, Booster! Your enduring popularity depends on it!

Boosterrific.com: New and Improved!
You may have already noticed that a map app has been added to track all of the locations that Booster Gold has visited. You can see it here. The source material has not been fully parsed for locations just yet, but it's off to a good start.
On a related note, you may notice that locations have begun appearing in entries for each issue. Eventually, each issue will have it's entire setting, both time and place, logged in the database, but there is still a lot of work to do yet. Sorry for the delay: there are a lot of comic books out there, and only one Boosterrific.com.

A Hex on All DC Movies
Understatement warning: Jonah Hex is not doing well at the box office. Disappointing? Yes. Surprising? No.
So the question becomes how will this affect DC movie properties going forward? Remember that DC recently pulled the plug on their animated features line after poor performances. How many more straws can the camel hold after Hex? Could this render the live action Blue Beetle stillborn? Does this dash any chance for a Booster Gold movie in our lifetimes? At least The Movie Blog says there is still hope. Our fingers are crossed.
On an unrelated note, please be aware that database revisions are underway here at Boosterrific.com that may result in some occasionally bizarre or downright broken pages in the immediate future. Don't Panic.
