No Tips About the Future

On Thursday, Cartoon Network announced the release of their latest mobile game, Teen Titans GO Figure!

According to their press release:

Teen Titans GO Figure! features nearly 100 exciting figures to battle and level up. Collect fan-favorites like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Black Lightning, Swamp Thing, Shazam and more, each customizable with new paints, abilities and accessories. You’ll meet up with tons of iconic DC characters along the way, including Supergirl, Hawkgirl, Commissioner Gordon, Martian Manhunter, Space Cabbie, Rainbow Raider, Booster Gold, Condiment King and more.

Before you rush out to play, know that DC Comics also released a digital tie-in comic book. The comic's plot actually involves some time travel antics, so naturally Booster Gold has to drop by. His one-panel appearance revisits Rip Hunter's chalkboard from Booster Gold Volume 2.

What's Mine Is Yours

Some video games, like Pac-Man, Galaga, and Super Mario Brothers, have legs, by which I mean they never get old or go out of style. Minecraft seems to belong to that group now as well.

I've given you some links to custom Booster Gold Minecraft skins in the past. This is a new one.

More Booster Gold In Comics

Booster Gold reappears this week in the latest digital installment of DC's Injustice 2 "Chapter 10."

After his walk-on role in last week's "Chapter 9," Booster's appearance here isn't a big surprise, but it does make one stop to wonder why Booster can show up in stories taking place outside of regular DCnrU continuity but not in a DCnrU comic itself. First Flintstones, now Injustice — what's next? Scooby-Doo?

Before you ask, yes, I'd buy that.

You can find Injustice 2 Chapters 9 and 10 now at for 99¢ apiece. They'll be available together in your Local Comic Shop (as Injustice 2 #5) on July 5 for $2.99.

Booster Gold Appears in a Comic Again!

I received an email yesterday alerting me to this:

© DC Comics

Yes, that is Booster Gold, and yes, that is Ted Kord. Believe it or not, Skeets is in there, too. All in a DC comic book. Will wonders never cease?

This panel can be found in Injustice 2 "Chapter 9", now available on Injustice 2 does not take place in the standard DCnrU but in the dystopian parallel universe as seen in the Injustice series of video games. (It's not a nice place to live. Superman is a jerk.)

Injustice 2 is a digital-first title, so chapters are available online before they are released as comics. This gives you two ways to buy. "Chapter 9" and "Chapter 10" (due next week) both cost just 99¢ on Comixology. Alternately, the two chapters will be collected into the printed floppy Injustice 2 #5, coming to your Local Comic Shop on July 5 for $2.99.

Thanks for the tip, jayroc22! (Also thanks to Spencer, who tried to notify me on Facebook. Sorry I didn't see your message sooner.)

Six Years Later, DC Universe Is Still Online

It caught my attention earlier this week that DC Universe Online, the massive multiplayer online video game from Daybreak Game Company (formerly Sony Online Entertainment), is celebrating its 6th anniversary. No celebration of time would be complete without Booster Gold!

Says, the game's official website:

Booster Gold is filling up Time Capsules with lots of useful and exciting items to send through the Multiverse to you!

The current in-game event where you can earn Stabilizer Fragments is "Antimatter Research." The Anti-Monitor is sending his Qwardian allies to weaken the Earth, and it is up to you to stop them.

Once you use a stabilizer to open a capsule, you'll see what sort of goodies Booster Gold has sent to you!

These Time Capsules first appeared in August of 2016, meaning that in recent months, Booster Gold has appeared on television shows and in video games, but not comic books. I didn't think I'd live to see the day!
