New Release: Smallville Season 11 Special #1

Only die-hard Booster Gold completists (you know who you are) may care about this, but Booster Gold will be making an appearance in today's Smallville Season 11 Special #1. The main story features Smallville's version of Martian Manhunter, but Booster will be making a brief cameo. Or at least his Fan Club t-shirt will.

Hey, I think I own that shirt! Now I can dress just like some kid in a comic book! Sweet! (If you want to be able to dress just like some kid in a comic book, you can get your own officially licensed Booster Gold Fan Club t-shirt from graphittidesigns.com. All the coolest comic book supporting characters are wearing them!)

The 48-page Smallville Season 11 Special #1 by Bryan Q. Miller, Axel Gimenez, and Diana Egea will set you back $4.99 at your Local Comic Shop.

Have You Seen This?

It's just so magnificent.

Booster Gold t-shirt at the Grand Canyon

Of course, I'm talking about that t-shirt.

Two weeks ago, Boosterrific.com was looking for some posters and received terrific support from you readers. Now we're hoping that you'll give Boosterrific.com the shirts off your backs!

The shirt above featuring Kevin Maguire's Super Buddies was brought to my attention last weekend by Russ Burlingame. Booster is hard to see for the shadow, but he is in that group shot looking over Beetle's right shoulder. A search for more information about that shirt has led to hints that there have been several DC licensed shirts released over the years featuring group images (JLI, Super Buddies) that may contain Booster Gold.

If you have any information about a t-shirt that depicts Booster Gold, please let us know either in the comments or via email to webmaster at Boosterrific.com. Thank you for your support.

Finally, a Booster Gold T-Shirt Screenshot!

Sometimes it's not enough to be a fan and read a hero's comic. Sometimes you have to be a video game hero just so you can meet that comic hero in virtual person. But when you do, don't forget to dress for the occasion.

Booster Gold virtual t-shirt in DC Universe Online

This fine virtual t-shirt featuring the Booster Gold Volume 2 logo designed by Rob Leigh can be yours, too, assuming of course that you are willing to spend hours hunting randomly spawning collectibles in Midtown Metropolis in DC Universe Online. This shirt is the end goal of the Gold Quality Boostercoms collection quest. Find all 5 different cellphone collectibles, and the Question (!) will email you this nifty t-shirt at no additional cost.

It toook me 3 hours to find the right parts. Three hours of flying from rooftop to rooftop looking for little shiny yellow question marks. And if you ask me if it was worth it, I will say, "yes, yes it was."

Cyber Monday Greetings from Thailand

In the spirit of Cyber Monday, I present this Booster-centric t-shirt found on eBay.com under the auction title "Mens T-shirt Super hero Skate Board dc man short W87 #M." (I found it while scouring eBay for "DC Heroes" for the DC Heroes RPG.) The seller, tamegems, is based in Bangkok, Thailand, and the item is very likely unlicensed. Booster would be pretty cheesed off to learn that someone somewhere was making money off his famous face without his permission.

Superhero t-shirt featuring Booster Gold on eBay

The art for this t-shirt is pulled almost entirely from a one-panel splash introduction for "The Origin of Booster Gold" by Dan Jurgens, Andy Lanning, and Alex Sinclair as originally published in 52 Week 24 and hosted on DC's website, dccomics.com. Note the terrible lettering of the word "Superhero" cribbed from the "Superman" logo and the relocation of many of the buildings from the original to fill the extra space. I have no idea where those cars come from, but I think they make a nice touch for scale.

Despite that, I would have snapped up that sucker in an instant, but as is typical of international eBay auctions, the shipping was equal to the price of the shirt! Though the auction ended over the weekend, you may browse other wares offered by tamegems here.

Dress for Success

Late last week, Shag from Once Upon A Geek called this to my attention:

BOOSTER GOLD SYMBOL t-shirt from Graphitti Designs

After 2 decades, DC has finally licensed a Booster Gold symbol t-shirt! (Deadman is getting one, too. And he's been around since 1967. That's patience! Of course, he's dead, so it was easy for him to wait for the opportunity.)

This sucker is in the September Previews. It won't be available for several weeks, but fear not! You can order it from your favorite LCS. Or, if you're the procrastinating sort, you will one day be able to order it directly from Graphitti's website here.
