What We Learned at NYCC 2017

The closest thing to Booster Gold news coming out of New York Comic Con this past weekend was included in this report of the "Sunday Conversation" panel with Dan DiDio and Keith Giffen (among others) as reported by Joe Glass for

A fan says he'd love to see Seven Soldiers of Victory book, another says Booster Gold, another with Secret Six. Someone says Ambush Bug (Giffen: "No.")

So Booster was a no-show at NYCC, but he's not so underrepresented at all conventions.

This is George Pooley (with his "best mate") at the MCM Manchester Comic Con in the UK back in July:

See? Blue and Gold were in the house!

Thanks to George for sharing. Keep up the good cosplaying, men.

What We Learned from NYCC 2015

Not a lot of Booster Gold news out of New York Comic Con this year. Is there really a Booster Gold movie in the works? Warner Brothers still isn't talking.

But while Warner remains silent, late-night comedian and writer Seth Meyers wasn't so shy. He held a panel at NYCC which Brett White covered for Spinoff Online.

"When I read comics, I loved teams. I loved X-Men and Justice League for that reason. Superman on his own is less interesting than Superman with Batman." [Moderator Jesse David] Fox then asked Meyers about his favorite X-Men and Justice League teams; Meyers called out the Blue Beetle/Booster Gold "Justice League" run and Joss Whedon's "Astonishing X-Men."

With fans like Nathan Fillion and Seth Meyers, how can we not get a Booster Gold movie in the works? (Thanks, Seth. We think that your show is pretty good, too.)

For the whole interview, check out

Booster Gold at NYCC

If there was any news about Booster Gold at this past weekend's New York Comic Con, I still haven't heard it. DC was too busy crowing about their upcoming weekly Batman title, I guess. (Everyone knows that there can never be too many Batman titles. I think Albert Einstein proved that when he published his theory on Batman Relativity in 1939.)

But just because no one was talking about him doesn't mean that Booster Gold wasn't there.

Photographer C.S. Muncy snapped this pic of Booster Gold, "The Greatest Hero You've Never Heard Of," at the convention on Saturday. You'll find more of Muncy's work at (Link courtesy Russ Burlingame.)

If you like cosplay pics, brace yourself. Tomorrow Booster cosplayer Pyynk talks about his hobby to Stay tuned!

Booster Gold Announcement at NYCC?

Last week both teased and debunked a rumored list of upcoming DC Comics announcements for New York Comic Con.

Of particular note to Booster Gold fans was the implication that Booster Gold would be announced (again), to be written and drawn by Dan Jurgens (again).

We now know that the list was completely fabricated, but it's still nice to think that some Booster Gold announcement could come out of NYCC, which starts today. Keep hope alive!
