New Releases: Blue Beetle #11
Booster Gold makes an appearance in today's Blue Beetle #11 as the hero trying to help Blue Beetle with his public image problem. In the online preview at Crave Online, Booster acts a lot like his Smallville interpretation, schmoozing with the television cameras for his own agenda, whatever that may be.
Buy this issue, if for no other reason than to support the fact that Booster's ridiculous DCnU notched headband has finally been discarded! That's enough to make Skeets happy! (Thanks to MetalWoman for the link.)

What We Learned This Weekend
Three things overheard this weekend at Comic-Con International 2012:
1. Screenwriter Andrew Kreiseberg on the progress of the Booster Gold television show being developed by SyFy (as interviewed by IGN.com):
"[I'm] handing in the script next month. It was actually pretty cool because I got to meet Dan Jurgens who created the comic book last night, and I spent about a half an hour convincing him that I wasn't just some gun for hire, that I was actually a huge fan of Booster as a kid. I wrote a couple of episodes of the Justice League animated series and when they asked me who I wanted to write, I said 'Booster'. So I've been a life-long Booster fan."
2. DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns discussing the Justice League International Annual at the "DC Comics: Justice League and Green Lantern" panel (according to Newsarma.com):
"It's really a Booster Gold story."
3. DC Co-Publisher Dan DiDio elaborating on what to expect in the Justice League International Annual at the "DC Comics: Meet the Publishers" panel (according to Comicbook.com):
We wrapped up some stories, especially Booster Gold's, where we see some strange things happen to Booster, Blue Beetle, and the August General."
Thanks to MetalWoman and Russ Burlingame for the tips.

New Releases: Justice League International #11
In celebration of American Independence Day, today DC Comics is releasing Justice League International #11. A 4-page preview of the issue is online at Comic Book Resources. (Thanks to MetalWoman for the link.)
According to DC's advance solicitations at dccomics.com, "the team is defeated at the hands of The Burners," a team of anarchists currently planning to bomb the nation's capital. Hooray!
While the timing may be only coincidental -- what team of anarchist super-villains aren't always trying to blow up national monuments? -- I'm just not sure I want to read a story in which America's foremost hero, Booster Gold, gets his ass handed to him on America's birthday. Maybe tomorrow.
Buy this issue and watch some fireworks with Skeets.

Preview Justice League International #9
Thanks to the Boosterrific Forum's latest member, MetalWoman, for giving us a head's up about the 5-page preview (1/4 of the total issue!) for Justice League International #9 posted last week at io9.com. Two things to take away from this preview:
- Skeets is still very much Booster's sidekick in the DCnU, even if we can't quite get him on panel yet.
- Batwing is a jerk.
Justice League International #9 will go on sale this Wednesday, May 2.
